Today’s Picnic Week adventure was at Royal Collection Trust Windsor Castle. As well as being a magnificent site where they could have built walls too keep people off the grass they have built a river of seats allowing the public to sit down and enjoy some sunshine or a mini Tesco sushi meal deal picnic.

I forgot to share my crazy sand activity for parkdeanresorts when I was there over the half term this activity was great but this sadly didn’t survive the journey home.

Another activity I forgot to post was the Bungee Trampoline I had booked at Parkdean Resorts Trecco bay. After a bit of a struggle I managed to get on and the cords were tightened a little and I got to be secure as I tried a couple of bounces. I felt like I was a bit like a baby in a bouncer learning to walk but I felt secure to try and then call it quits.

One of the things I wasn’t expecting to do much of or use regularly were the karts but this one with a solid base and missing seat became my best friend. I hired it once to pedal around the park then 3 more times during my stay when I needed to get to the caravan quickly or on the last day to get all the extra stuff I couldn’t carry down to the office so it could be posted home.

With this week being English Tourism Week I figured I’d share some of my favourite places to go on days out and places that you can go to do something fun or interesting.

Our first stop today is my favourite place to go shopping Oxford street which is a 1.2 mile road full of different shops including lush, primark, disneystoreuk, hmvinstagram, and clairesstores and plenty of other stores.

Oxford street is the world’s longest high street with more than 90 flagship stores. The architecture is absolutely amazing shopping paradise. Most stores are open till late so from Birmingham New Street station you can get on a London Northwestern Railway for as little as £9 one way (if you have a rail card you could get your tickets for a lower price.)

It’s my last activity Parkdean Resorts and I have one last make a bear workshop and I can’t pick between the Easter lamb and the chick bears to build. I’ve loved hanging out in the activity centre and getting to be creative this week. I’ve also loved mixing in the physical activities with the creative ones. I just wish I could have taken part in the evening entertainment.

In the mean time which bear should I build?

Today is check out day and it’s my last afternoon in the Parkdean Resorts Arts and craft centre to do the last of my activities starting with the sand picture crafts. The way they have the sand stores in little refillable bottles is brilliant. I just wish there were some glitters around in the selection but I can fix that myself next time I come.

This evening I decided to wander down to the beach front and have a sit down by the beach to star gaze. I didn’t stay for long maybe 20-30mins but it was nice to sit down and star gaze on the clear night.

My archery replacement activity is the Parkdean Resorts hover boards. I didn’t even last 5 minuets on this activity!! Because I don’t have full movement in one leg and my centre of gravity isn’t in the right place I cannot control the hover board at all!!!

The instructor was amazing and once I was all safety geared up he allowed me to try the board first. He was very encouraging and patient with me which was amazing to see.

I was booked into archery Parkdean Resorts Trecco Bay this afternoon but we had a new instructor who when I tried to explain my reasonable adjustment the instructor told me ‘not to worry I’m a qualified archer for the blind’ he then ignored everything I tried to tell him and my final straw was when he had grabbed my bow and told me ‘I am the instructor you must do as you are told!’

I went to the activity hub and spoke to the staff who listened to me agreed I was reasonable and very quickly had me booked in another activity.

This afternoon I went back to the Parkdean Resorts arts and crafts centre to make my final ceramics of the visit. A mug for my partner with a Welsh flag based colour scheme.
