I recently had the privilege of being invited to a private presentation with the Business Development Director of Cap St Georges in Cyprus… and I finally understood why this hotel has become one of the most talked-about luxury resorts in the Mediterranean.

Ikos Kissamos, Crete recently opened its doors on 30th April 2026 and the first guest reviews coming in are sounding VERY impressive already.

Set on the beautiful Kissamos Bay near Chania, this is Ikos’ first resort in Crete and from what people are already sharing online, it’s bringing that signature Ikos luxury to a completely new level. I’ve just come back from the most unexpectedly special stay in Crete… and I can’t stop thinking about it…..

NIKO Seaside Resort is one of those places that just gets it right for couples.

✨ Adults-only Boutique feel (not huge and hectic) And the views over Mirabello Bay… honestly, unforgettable

We stayed in a sea view room with a little whirlpool bath on the balcony… morning coffee out there, watching the coastline wake up, is something I won’t forget in a hurry.

But what really makes this place? Location.

Within minutes, you’re in Agios Nikolaos, wandering little streets, stopping for a glass of prosecco by the lake, and finding the kind of restaurants you wish you had at home.

One day we ended up at a lakeside spot, sharing calamari, king prawns and a Cretan salad with a bottle of fizz… those spontaneous, “this is what holidays are about” moments.

We even escaped up into the mountains to Kritsa, one of the oldest villages in Crete – tiny tavernas, local shops, and that real Greek charm you just can’t manufacture.

My honest tip? Go B&B here.The hotel food is lovely, but you’ll want to explore the copious restaurant choices, and trust me, you should.

If you’re the kind of couple who loves a stylish base, but wants to step out into real local life… this is such a good find.

Not all USA itineraries are created the same.

This family came to me with a quote they could have booked… but something didn’t feel right.

New Year in the Philippines, done differently.
