Evening walk in the woods nearby along the same old familiar trail. When you think there's nothing new there, just focus on the details. This mint green egg had fallen from a nest of a song trush. The yellow small fungi on the fallen birch trunk looked like tiny round breakfast rolls. The stone bramble berries shone like rubies and tasted sour. A woodpecker had stuck a bunch of fir cones to a tree stump. And finally, a touch of a human hand, a piece of forest art, a small painted ladybug stone #森林浴 #自然 #秋 #卵

Berries, red and orange, edible and just ornamental. Lingonberries, rosehips and lily-of-the-valley berries, which remind me of miniature jack-o-lanterns 🎃 For me, the late autumn afternoons feel special, more atmospheric than summer evenings. Yarrow and aster flowers. The common yarrow is a native species, whereas the violet-hued aster (amellus) flowers are not. Both plants have medicinal properties and have been used for centuries to cure various ailments. Tomorrow is Finnish Nature Day 🇫🇮💚 I want to share some beautiful views from Toriseva nature trail to celebrate the day 😊 You have to experience the beauty of the ravine lakes first hand, the photos don't do them justice. But I hope you will enjoy my snaps anyway🤞By the way, the little red cabin there has been serving coffee for travellers since 1936! The ravine lakes have been sought-after since the 1800's when it was first photographed by I.K. Inha.
