This place has been here for as long as I remember coming to Lanzarote and was the first place we went to a Mexican restaurant back in the late 80's early 90's. It's been sad to see the businesses leave and finally being left neglected and an eyesore but hoping the work that has now started brings new life back to the strip and look forward to seeing what happens in the future. It's a great spot so should be lovely when finished.

A bit behind posting this as we have been back a week 😳 just wanted to add reassurance that the return journey through Arrecife airport was all good.
Obviously this seems to vary for people but we arrived 2 hours before departure (12:55 departure) as we had hand luggage only we would normally do 1.5 hours max but thought better to not risk it as first time with the new systems in place.
We went straight through security with no waits.
I hadn’t read my email but on the board it did also say on the boards to complete the EES.
Loads of empty terminals and no issues following the instructions.
Once to gate was released we made our way and had to pass through Passport scanning again before a final visit to the desk to get our passports stamped.
The whole process didnt really take any longer than normal.
I did wonder what happens if you hadn’t done the gate 6 part ?
I would just make sure you give yourself a bit of extra time at the airport to go through these steps and arrive as soon as the gate opens just in case 😉

24.03- Absolute perfect trip over from Birmingham this morning - 6am flight left on time, 3hrs 40 mins landing 20 mins early🛬. Straight off plane and straight through airport with minimum wait for Egates etc. Landed at 9:49 and in Puerto Del Carmen at apartment for 10:21 no complaints from us 😉 hand luggage only so always makes it quicker 🧳
Oh and the bonus is sun is shining (for now 😮) much needed break has commenced 😊 🌤️👙🏝️🍹🍺

This looks amazing and hoping it’s open for when we come over in March ! These are the wonderful people from Fariones Grill so can’t wait to eat with them again - I’ve missed my steaks 😉

I had a weeks holiday I needed to use up and decided to try somewhere that wasn't Lanzarote 😮😂 A couple more flight hours and a whole new experience!
Wow what a place and we had a great few days exploring and perfect weather (End Nov/start of Dec) the weather was perfect for sight seeing and despite the high temps, didn't get the Lanzarote frazzle 😂

As we were staying close by decided Wayne’s steakhouse would be a good choice for our next steak fix and as they are no longer taking bookings just walk ins it was a perfect choice.
Arrived around 7:30 and had no problem getting a table for 4 of us, although within the next half hour there were people waiting and queuing (and some rather impatient people too!) massive sign saying please wait here to be served but still they harassed staff who were quite clearly serving customers already sat down. Shame people can’t just wait a few minutes and observe, if you don’t want to wait go somewhere else!

The restaurant was full but no issues being served and food arriving quickly. We didn’t have starters (that lunchtime snack left no room 😳) and 3 of us opted for the filet steak and one of the Peri Peri chicken.
Food fresh and hot and steaks really tasty. Maybe next time I would go medium rare rather than medium but always difficult to know the scale of medium as other places can be perfectly to my liking but this was no way over cooked.
Peri peri chicken was really tasty too.
No complaints at all from us and good value too.

From here we popped for a drink on Serenity rooftop.
For a change it was not windy so we were actually quite warm as they had the heaters on too. Not the cheapest for drinks or cocktails but what we had were really tasty & strong 🥴
Spirits were measured (rather than free pour) but boys both said good strong measures of Kraken.

From here we headed to Kings and we were lucky to catch Concrete Jungle playing again as they were due a few days off so we would have missed them.
Staff are really good in here too, never had to wait too long for drinks - a special shout out to Nico for looking after us 😉 nice to see a familiar face working here now - Deanna, always friendly and smiling 😊

Spotted a post showing these dirty chips so had to give them a try - the Meneo gourmet potatoes with Parmesan, truffle alioli and chives 😮 we also tried the cheese burger and a chicken burger too 😳 supposed to be a light lunch 🤰🏻😂 so maybe one lot of the Meneo potatoes would have been better between the 4 of us ! they were good though. Very tasty and worth a try if you like a dirty burger too - right by Barcarola complex.

Quick drink at La Ola hoping to catch the sunset and Jake Hansen on Sax 🎷 but gave up waiting by 8:30 as we were hungry 😳 as not too far headed over to Capri. Always a busy restaurant at night and it's been open since 1985 so has been here as long as I've been coming 😊

Steak Night - La Cascada in the old town. This was a new one to us tonight after passing many times over the years and thinking we should give it a try. What a suprise as I didn't realise how big it was inside ! No need to book as so many rooms hidden away.
Large menu choice and not entirely sure what to choose we had a great mix of starters to share followed by a couple of options on filet steaks.
Food all hot, fresh and good. No complaints from any of us but still can't compete with our favourite steak restaurant that isn't there any more 😢(patiently waiting for the new one to open but that will be a trip out to Costa Teguise for future fixes!)
Would definitely return though, service was quick and friendly too 😊 oohhh and the toilets were interesting- felt like a museum trip 😂

Still our favourite and we shared an absolute feast of amazing food. The service is always spot on friendly and welcoming, food is with you within minutes of ordering and is fresh and delicious. What more could you ask for ?
