Spanish restaurants can trip people up immediately.

Waiters won’t hover.
They won’t check on you every 5 minutes.
And they definitely won’t rush you out the door.

Sounds amazing… until you’re sitting there wondering how to order.

In Spain:
• You have to ask for the menu.
• You have to ask to order.
• You absolutely have to ask for the bill.

And that’s not rude... it’s normal.

Meals here are meant to be enjoyed, not rushed. If someone pushes you out quickly? You’re probably in a tourist trap.
