There’s something so special about hearing the valley come back to life again.
The steady buzzing of the olive shakers.
The clattering of trailers rolling past.
After such a long stretch of rain, it’s a beautiful sound, a sure sign that the olive harvest is finally in full swing again.
And now the sun is shining brightly once more. ☀️🌿
The valley is alive, and so are we!

Here comes the sun… and suddenly everything feels lighter.
Rain tested us. Storms challenged us. Now it’s time to shine.

We made it to Spain!
Sam got us (almost) all the way here, until we managed to get the trailer stuck and had to be rescued by the neighbor. But hey, what better way to meet the locals?

We’ve unpacked, chased a few geckos out of the house and built the beds. There’s still so much to do and sometimes I wonder what we’ve gotten ourselves into. A small city apartment would’ve been so much easier. But when we’re out among the locals, soaking up that countryside vibe, it all feels worth it. 💛

Another successful hotel season done, van loaded, trailer overflowing.
Time to trade hotel life for renovation, olive trees and sunshine 🌿☀️
Heading south for our next adventure in Southern Spain.

Feels so good knowing the hotel, the plants, and the post are all in safe hands - watched over by wonderful friends 💛
What would we do without them?

Exciting News!

We’re thrilled to share that we bought a house in beautiful Andalusia, Spain! Nestled among rolling hills and surrounded by 200 of our very own olive trees, it’s everything we dreamed of and more. The charm of the small Spanish towns nearby and the breathtaking views make it feel like our perfect slice of paradise under the Spanish sun.

The house still needs a lot of love and attention, but we couldn’t be happier to finally call this place our second home. We’ve even got plenty of space to park our van, Sam! From now on, we’ll be splitting our time between Sweden and Spain, embracing the best of both worlds.

Stay tuned for updates as we embark on this amazing adventure! 🌿🏡🚐🇪🇸

"Golden hour hits different on the road. ✨ Parking up, watching the sky explode in color, and feeling that deep sense of freedom—this is what vanlife is all about. No rush, no plans, just chasing sunsets one mile at a time.

Where’s your favorite sunset spot? 🚒

The manifold has been fixed!
It took a day of hard work, but it's back in place. I'm incredibly grateful for the help of our friends and fellow vanlifers Alex and Inge , who were kind enough to host us. We had a great time catching up and enjoying good company.

Ávila & Segovia
Two other gems on our trip 🚒🏰

Segovia, its iconic ancient Roman aqueduct is hard to mis. This one of the few remaining ancient aqueduct has more than 160 arches, most in the original mortarless granite, and stands above Plaza Azoguejo in the heart of the city. An impressive feat of engineering keeping in mind it's constructed around the 1st & 2nd century.
At the other end of the city, you'll find Alcazar de Segovia, the castle of Segovia topped on a cliff. It's been used as a filming location and used as an inspiration to design the iconic Cinderella castle by Disney, for Walt Disney World parks.

Avila is best known for its intact medieval city walls, with 80 towers and 9 gates, including. Long sections atop the walls are walkable, which gives you amazing views over the inner city and surrounding landscape.
