Acueducto Sayausi - El Cebollar

El canal de agua entre Sayausí y El Cebollar constituye una de las obras de infraestructura hídrica históricas y más cruciales de Cuenca, Ecuador.
Construido en la década de 1940 (registros fotográficos del INPC datan de 1947 y 1948).
Su función fue transportar y conectar los caudales captados con los primeros tanques de agua potable de la ciudad.

(English) The water canal linking the parishes of Sayausí and El Cebollar stands as one of Cuenca, Ecuador’s historic water infrastructure landmarks. Built in the 1940s —with official photographic records from the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INPC) dating back to 1947 and 1948— its core purpose was to transport captured water flows to the city’s first drinking water storage tanks, laying the foundation for the water supply system that serves the capital of Azuay to this day.
