Arctic reality: our guests were actually supposed to board in Qaqortoq. But all the flights were cancelled. So we had to change our plans and are flying the guests to Nuuk. The only problem is that the ship has to go there too. Five minutes after the new plan was agreed and the new flights booked, Captain Mario simply wrote: “We’re weighing anchor and setting off”. Now we’re ploughing through heavy weather heading north to Nuuk. We’ll pick up the guests there, and expedition leader Andreas has already put together a brilliant new programme. Luckily, he knows every fjord and every glacier there and is already really excited about the spontaneous new tour. The crew are currently giving it their all and we’re hoping for an ETA in Nuuk tomorrow. – Greenland, always good for adventure and for demonstrating just how flexible we can be.
Arktische Realität: eigentlich sollten unsere Gäste in Qaqortoq zusteigen. Aber alle Flüge wurden gestrichen. Also disponierten wir um und fliegen die Gäste nach Nuuk. Nur muss das Schiff auch dorthin. Fünf Minuten, nachdem der neue Plan beschlossen war, die neuen Flüge gebucht, schrieb Kapitän Mario nur kurz: „Wir heben den Anker und fahren los“. Jetzt dampfen wir durch schweres Wetter Richtung Norden nach Nuuk. Dort nehmen wir die Gäste auf, und Expeditionsleiter Andreas hat schon ein fulminantes neues Programm erarbeitet. Zum Glück kennt er dort jeden Fjord und jeden Gletscher und ist selbst schon ganz begeistert von der spontanen, neuen Tour. Die Crew gibt momentan alles und wir hoffen auf ETA morgen in Nuuk. - Grönland, immer gut für Abenteuer und um zu demonstrieren, wie flexibel wir sein können.
