F5L – Mnichovo Hradiště 18. 4. 2026

After a year, I enjoyed the first competition of the F5L category this year at the model airport in Horní Bukovina under the leadership of Vladislav Plichta.
My dad had the premiere of Resek with a motor. He avoided it all the time. After recognizing that running for a rubber band was no longer for him, he finally installed a motor in the fuselage.
The airport is such a small noodle, where you often had to go over the side runway to land. But I did not notice a single problem there where there was a risk of collision.
The weather was kind to us again. The sunny sky with a minimum of clouds was beautiful and most of the time we were flown to the fullest. The winner of the group was decided mainly by a very precise landing.
The worst part of the day for me was landing. I didn't have any practice and thanks to sitting down for 90 points I only managed to score a single penalty. Then I started to pay more attention and finally I hit the center of the last flight for 100 points.
Otherwise the competition went off beautifully. The starter always asked the individual competitors if they were ready, and if necessary, he encouraged the missing pilots.
The results were announced with beautiful prizes from Škoda auto. I didn't win a car, but I did win a beautiful watch with the Octavia logo.
I must also mention the great result of junior Pavel Ernst, who was in second place overall. During the lunch break he also flew with a smaller acrobat and it is clear that he has a lot of flying hours with models.
My dad and Gusta Bulín gave me excellent advice all day. Thank you very much.
