Today, we remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

A few years ago, we spent Memorial Day at Arlington National Cemetery, and it’s a place that leaves a lasting impact. Row after row of headstones is a powerful reminder of the cost of war and the families forever changed by it.

We long for a world with more peace and fewer sacrifices asked of soldiers and their loved ones. But today, we pause in gratitude and remembrance for those we’ve lost, while also thanking those currently serving, veterans, and the families who serve alongside them every day.

This photo was taken from our longest road trip after COVID shutdowns in 2021. It was 7 weeks long and epic! We will never forget the joy of getting on the road again after over a year of staying home. 💞

Traveling somewhere this summer crowded where pickpockets might be a concern?

Our inexpensive solution on our backpacks are twist ties on the zippers. Anything that slows a pickpocket down is likely to deter them from your bag and they will move on.

Rows and rows of colorful tulips, peaceful country views, and a mason jar you fill yourself 🌷✨

We visited Rural Route Bulbs just outside Fall Creek, Wisconsin, and honestly couldn’t believe how many unique tulip varieties they had. For $30, you can fill a large mason jar with your own hand-picked blooms — but the season ends Sunday, May 24!

If you’ve been looking for an easy Wisconsin spring day trip, this is your sign to go before the tulips are gone.
