Is telecommunications tower with 205 meter tall located on Avala mountain, 18 km far from Belgrade. The original tower built in 1961 and finished at 1965. It was the only tower with symmetrical triangle as its cross section in the world. tower was destroyed on 29 April 1999 bombardment. it was symbol of pride and famous landmark even in former Yugoslavia. Studenica monastery
is one of the most important monastery complex of medieval Serbia which is also on the list of World Cultural and Natural Heritage by UNESCO (1986).
The church of Holy Mother Of God dates back to 12th century and was built by Stefan Nemanija (founder of kingdom of Serbia). Current fresco in picture created in that period. Background blue color made of Lapis Lazuli gemstone which was more expensive than gold.
