In light of the current 145% tariff policy imposed by the United States on imports from China, the following changes are observed in China's international transportation to the United States:

1. Starting April 9, 2025, the U.S. will increase tariffs on Chinese imports to 125%, with a trend toward further escalation (the duty-free policy for goods valued up to USD 800 will be terminated as of May 2). It is imperative that consignees ensure timely payment of all applicable tariffs for shipments destined for the United States. Additionally, major international express carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL typically operate under a "delivery-first, settlement-later" business model. Under this model, recipients receive invoices for taxes, customs duties, and other ancillary fees after delivery. If the recipient refuses payment, the sender becomes liable for these costs.

2. As a result of the ongoing tariff dispute, many customers have adopted a wait-and-see approach, leading to a significant increase in flight vacancy rates. Consequently, air freight costs to Los Angeles have decreased to USD 4 per kilogram.

3. The landed cost for sea freight delivered duty paid (DDP) has been adjusted upward to USD 3.4 per kilogram.
