The winning patent, "Rail Transit Resource Processing Based on a Portable Security Terminal", tackles a long-standing industry challenge: how to keep high‑density train operations both fast and safe even in degraded mode. This technical breakthrough significantly boosts operational resilience and safety, and is already in wide commercial use, proving its real‑world value.

CASCO to modernize Tura El Balad Depot on Cairo Metro Line 1 – a new milestone in Egypt! 🎉🚇

It is the largest depot on Cairo's oldest and busiest metro line, which has been in operation for over 40 years. As the signalling system EPC integrator, we will replace the ageing signalling system with new‑generation technologies and products.

The new system will deliver:
✅ Improved safety with SIL4 certification
✅ Higher capacity with reduced headways
✅ Full compatibility with the existing Line 1, plus future‑proof interfaces for CBTC systems in the mainline

Following the 10th of Ramadan Railway, this project further strengthens CASCO's presence and long‑term commitment to Egypt's rail sector.

Glad to be part of ICRE 2026 in Hong Kong – a key global gathering for railway professionals. 🚆

At the conference, we showcased our smart and green control systems, highlighting how intelligent signalling can drive more efficient, resilient, and sustainable rail operations.

CASCO Vice President Wang Xiaoyong also took the stage to share our 40-year journey in becoming a trusted partner in rail transit control, and how we’re continuously pushing rail innovation forward. For example, our high‑resilience SATC system has been deployed in Beijing Metro Line 9 and successfully completed PoC test in Singapore. We did it – SATC high-resilience signalling system made its overseas debut in Singapore! 🚇

Supported by LTA and SMRT Trains, we’ve successfully completed the Proof of Concept (PoC) test for our self-developed Smart Automatic Train Control (SATC) system at Bishan Depot. 🎉

The test validated multiple key performance indicators, including precise detection of train distance ahead and red signal voice alerts using LiDAR and cameras, as well as seamless switching between CBTC and SATC systems. This is a solid step toward next‑generation urban rail systems and more resilient operations.

Equipped with three core capabilities – autonomous positioning, autonomous perception, and safety protection, SATC enables trains to accurately detect the distance to preceding trains, assists drivers by intelligent recognition of red signal aspects. Even in scenarios such as onboard failures of the primary signalling system, SATC ensures safe and efficient operations, significantly enhancing system resilience and operational continuity, and achieving uninterrupted and non‑degraded operation under fault conditions.

In addition, SATC can also serve as a primary signalling solution for medium- and low-capacity rail transit lines, providing a lightweight and cost-effective alternative that optimizes investment efficiency while delivering reliable operational performance.

Big news! 🎉

We just signed an MoU with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to set up a joint rail transit lab – taking our partnership to the next level.

The lab will support system testing, function validation, and talent development for Dubai's metro network – including the new GoA4 Blue Line, where we provide signalling, communication, SCADA, virtualization and MMS.

Plus, the lab will also explore intelligent O&M and AI-powered dispatching, helping ensure equipment reliability and boost network efficiency.
