The beauty of these performances is how much tech goes into the production and stage building.

This stage in particular - has a WATERFALL built in. And rain. But the waterfall ain't a small fountain thing. The first rows have ponchos kinda waterfall.

These shows are always impressive to see as it is reverse wes anderson. He makes theater like movies but this is a movie like theater.

Tea. From field to cup - part III

So after picking, cooking, drying and storing there is this weird package in front of you that is nothing like a tea bag. 🤔.

But this is how it is supposed to be. Leaves intertwined with each other resdy to release the full taste. (and they can be reused multiple times before discarded - mind you this is potent)

Rinse, drop the first water and and then serve.

There are many varieties of tea and no - no strawberry, mulberry, mint varieties here. Green, white, red, black and more...

Tea. From field to cup - part II

After the tea is picked it is taken directly to these big wok-like looking pans for heating up.

They use wood to start the fire. Then when the pan is warm enough they put fresh tea leaves on.

Using hands they keep on stirring it. When it gets too hot they have Y shaped sticks to continue doing so.

When tea leaves have been seared enough they are curled into circles and left for drying where they accumulate a type of mould on the surface after which it is packaged and shipped.

That is why (if I'm not wrong) - if you ever saw a Chinese tea ceremony - the first waters are being thrown and tea leaves rinsed.

We need to grow it and pick it. It grows in dense bushesike these. Oy some of the leaves are picked and plucked for this purpose. As this is done by hand - they already feel the right leaves. It is a bit of magic seeing their hands go and choose only the proper parts.

The twist. Regular blue water. Had my feet in it because I had to cross it barefoot. The road ended and I didn't want to go back up. The frikkin hill so I walked the walk.

Interesting origin story. We met by me dipping my feet deep into it. It took it with all the grace and helped me venture forth 😂
