A memorable 5-day private journey through Chongqing was recently curated for European travelers looking to experience the city beyond the typical tourist route.

The experience combined Chongqing’s historic sites, vibrant culture, and dramatic landscapes. Guests walked through historic districts and cultural landmarks while discovering hidden corners of the mountain city.

One of the most unique moments of the trip was a cultural experience where guests dressed in traditional Chinese clothing and participated in an ancient-style banquet, recreating the atmosphere of historical China.

The journey also explored the spectacular karst landscapes outside the city — a national park area famous for its towering rock formations and recognized internationally as one of the filming locations used in the Transformers movies.

In the evenings, Chongqing revealed its modern energy. Along Nanbin Road, guests enjoyed a riverside concert followed by a breathtaking drone show lighting up the skyline above the Yangtze River.

Carefully selected local restaurants were also part of the experience, introducing guests to authentic Chongqing cuisine and the bold flavors of the region.

Hechuan Diaoyu Fortress stands as one of the most extraordinary military and cultural sites in world history.

In the 13th century, this mountain fortress became the place where the expansion of the Mongol Empire was halted. The death of Möngke Khan during the siege here reshaped the political landscape of Eurasia and altered the course of global history. What happened at Diaoyu Fortress was not only a chapter in Chinese history — it was a turning point for the world.

It was truly an honor for me to organize and lead a Diaoyu Fortress historical and cultural journey for members of the Huanyu Yijia community. Walking through the ancient gates and walls, I deeply felt the stories of resilience, strategy, and human determination that still live within this city.

Travel tip:
Diaoyu Fortress is free and open to the public until March 3, 2026.
For self-driving visitors, I recommend parking at Qishengmen Service Area, entering from Qishengmen Gate, and exploring from higher ground downwards for the best perspective.

🐾 Unique Experience in Chongqing | Capybara Café 🐾

When visiting Chongqing, besides exploring the stunning mountain city views and enjoying hotpot, there’s also a super cute spot you shouldn’t miss — the Capybara Café! 🦫✨

It was my first time visiting this pet café with my guests, and getting up close with these adorable capybaras was such an unforgettable experience. 😍 Absolutely heartwarming!

📌 Tip:
Many visitors mentioned that the coffee here isn’t great ☕, so I’d recommend trying other drinks instead 🍹 for a better experience.
