D Dutchman Dairy is such a Gem and just encouraged everyone at my RV show talk how its a MUST-STOP for all RVers heading to Revelstoke, Banff and farther, So much tragedy, Stay away for now but when they return, please spend your money there, 💔

Update: A big thank you to the Swansea point fire department who was also there helping to put out the fire. We missed them in our original post and wanted to make sure they know how grateful we are for their service to the community. ❤️

Fire Update
Last night our family experienced one of a farm families worst nightmares.
At around 1am we had a structure fire that devastated three structures.

The main details at this time:
All of our family is safe.

The Sicamous Fire Department, Malakwa Fire Department and Swansea point Fire Department did an incredible job reducing the spread.

There was significant structure loss.

Worst of all, we lost our babies. Approximately 40 calves, 6 months and under.
In the words of my mom “my babies are gone. They are all gone”.
Our animals are not just a number, they are loved, they all have names. My son has hugged, kissed and pet them all.

Please keep your distance from our farm at this time. The fire department continues to maintain the scene. The cow barn remains and we were able to start milking this morning.

*Please give my parents some time before contacting them. We are still in a state of shock and there are still many moving parts.*
