I’ve played this song more times than I can count, in front of all kinds of audiences, in all kinds of places. And every single time, it gets me.
There’s something about “Fire & Rain” — when you know where it came from, what James Taylor was going through when he wrote it, it hits different. From pain comes beauty. That’s what music does. It takes the hardest moments and turns them into something that connects us all. On a tech side, I did this in one take and it was the first take. I kept in all my flubs so you know it is not AI! All organic.
