🚨🚗 HIGH-END VEHICLE THEFT WARNING ACROSS THE GTHA! 🚨
Halton Regional Police have arrested a 25-year-old man accused of being involved in a major auto-theft investigation targeting high-end Lexus and Toyota vehicles across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
Police say the investigation began in April, after an Oakville resident discovered an AccuTag tracking device secretly attached to their vehicle. Investigators allege the device was part of a tactic used to track vehicles before thieves returned later to steal them. 👀📍
According to police, Darryl Davance, also known by the alias Joey Tremblay, of Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, was identified as being responsible for 14 thefts and attempted thefts involving high-end Lexus and Toyota vehicles between March and August.
📌 Charges laid: 🔹 14 counts of theft of a motor vehicle
🔹 14 counts of failing to comply with a release order
🔹 Mischief over $5,000
Police say Davance was arrested on August 18 and remains in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton. Investigators also believe he may be connected to additional auto thefts throughout the GTHA, and the investigation remains ongoing.
⚠️ HERE'S HOW THE TRACKING TACTIC WORKS:
Police say thieves may target vehicles parked in busy locations such as shopping malls and hotel parking lots. A small GPS or Bluetooth tracking device can allegedly be hidden in difficult-to-see areas, allowing criminals to monitor where the vehicle goes.
🚘 Possible hiding spots include: • Behind the licence plate
• Around the side-view mirrors
• Inside the gas-cap area
• Wheel wells or bumpers
• Inside a trailer hitch
• Front grille and bumper areas
Once thieves know where a vehicle is located, police say they may wait until it is parked somewhere quieter, away from security cameras and witnesses, before attempting to steal it. 😳
🛡️ HOW TO PROTECT YOUR VEHICLE:
📱 Check your phone for unknown trackers: Apple and Android devices have features/apps that can help detect unfamiliar Bluetooth trackers. iPhone users may receive an alert if an unknown AirTag is detected moving with them.
👀 Do a quick walk-around: Before leaving a public parking lot, check around your licence plate, wheel wells, mirrors and bumper areas.
🚔 If you believe you're being tracked, DON'T DRIVE STRAIGHT HOME. Police recommend going to a well-lit public location or police station and contacting authorities.
📹 Use your vehicle's recording/security features when available, especially when leaving the vehicle in a mall or parking lot.
🚨 FOUND A TRACKING DEVICE? DON'T THROW IT AWAY!
Police say the device could contain valuable digital or physical evidence that may help investigators identify those behind the attempted theft.

⚠️ If you drive a Lexus, Toyota or another high-value vehicle in the GTHA, it's worth checking your vehicle regularly. Thieves may not need to break into your car first—they could be tracking it and waiting for the right opportunity.

🚨 🔥🔥BREAKING: Edmonton Gurdwara Stabbing 🚨🔥
A disturbing attack at a Sikh place of worship in Edmonton has left two men, ages 51 and 75, injured. 🙏
Police say a 27-year-old man entered the Nanaksar Gurdwara during morning prayers, confronted people inside and allegedly stabbed two members of the congregation. Witnesses intervened and detained him until police arrived. 👮‍♂️
⚠️ Even more concerning: police say the suspect had been released from a federal prison just hours earlier, after serving a sentence for aggravated assault and assaulting a peace officer. Police say he failed to report to his designated Edmonton halfway house.
The suspect was arrested carrying a screwdriver. Charges are pending, and Edmonton police are investigating whether the attack was hate-motivated.
The Sikh community and leaders across Alberta are condemning the violence. A place of worship should be a place of peace, safety and community. 🕊️❤️

🚨🚗 THREE-VEHICLE CRASH IN TORONTO’S WEST END 🚑
Three people were rushed to hospital after a serious three-vehicle collision early Saturday morning in Toronto’s west end.
📍 The crash happened on Lacey Avenue near Keele Street and Eglinton Avenue around 2 a.m.
🌳 Police say one of the vehicles struck a tree. Paramedics assessed four people at the scene — one person refused treatment, while three others were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
🏥 One patient was transported to a trauma centre in serious but stable condition.
🚔 No charges have been announced at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.

🚨 FATAL OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING IN NORTH YORK 🚔
A person is dead following an officer-involved shooting in North York this Saturday afternoon.
🚨 Toronto Police responded shortly before 1:30 p.m. near Wilson Avenue and King High Avenue after reports of a damaged vehicle driving erratically.
🚗💥 Police say the vehicle had been involved in a collision and the driver attempted to flee. During an interaction with the driver, an officer discharged their firearm.
⚠️ The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were injured.
🔎 Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is now investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.

🚨 SHOTS FIRED AT COMMERCIAL BUILDING NORTH OF TORONTO 🚨
York Regional Police say a commercial building near Weston Rd. & Langstaff Rd. was hit by gunfire on August 19 around 8:20 a.m. 😳🔫
Thankfully, no one was injured, even though the building was occupied at the time. Police later arrested and charged 45-year-old Felix Algai of Toronto.
During a search of a Toronto residence, officers say they found ammunition and suspected co***ne. Police believe the firearm used — reportedly an assault-style rifle — has not been recovered. 🚔
Investigators say this appears to be an isolated incident and they are not looking for additional suspects.
⚠️ Charges include reckless discharge of a firearm, weapons-related offences, probation violations and possession of a controlled substance.

💔 Brampton Father Desperately Searches for Missing Son in Poland 🇨🇦🇵🇱
A Brampton father says he hasn’t seen or spoken directly to his 4-year-old son Fabian in more than 500 days. 😢
Michael Kwadrans says his son and his former wife remained in Poland after a family trip in 2024 and never returned to Canada. A Polish court later ordered Fabian’s return to Canada, but the mother and child disappeared before they were scheduled to fly home. 💔
🇨🇦 Peel Regional Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for the boy’s mother, who is wanted for alleged abduction of a person under 14.
Authorities in Canada and Poland are involved, and a Polish court recently ordered local police to determine Fabian’s whereabouts.
The father’s heartbreaking message is simple: “I just want my son back.” 😢🙏
💙 This case highlights the devastating reality of international parental child abduction and the challenges families can face across borders.

🔥🚨 112 ILLEGAL FI****MS SEIZED IN PEEL REGION IN 2026! 🚨🔥
Peel Regional Police have seized their 112th illegal firearm of the year following a late-night traffic stop in Brampton. 🚔🔫
At around 2:20 a.m. on August 10, officers stopped a vehicle near Cedarbrook Road & Edgewater Court with three occupants inside. One man allegedly gave police a false name before fleeing on foot. 🏃‍♂️💨
Officers searched the vehicle and discovered a loaded illegal handgun with ammunition. The fleeing suspect was later arrested and was also found to be wanted on an outstanding Alberta warrant. 🚨
Three men — Navjot Singh, 29, Harkomal Singh, 29, and Mohobbatbir Randhawa, 23 — are facing multiple firearm-related charges, including unauthorized possession, possession of a loaded prohibited/restricted firearm, and tampering with a firearm’s serial number.
Navjot Singh also faces additional charges related to obstructing police and failing to comply with an undertaking.
