Phase 1 is all about making rides between Shuswap communities easier, cheaper, and more organized. 🚗

Instead of posting on Facebook hoping someone can drive you, ShuHop will help connect riders and drivers already heading the same way.

Need to get to Vernon? Kelowna? Salmon Arm? Work, school, appointments, airport runs, shopping, events, or just everyday errands?

🚗 A quick update about ShuHop Phase 1!

ShuHop is launching in phases so we can build this properly, safely, and in a way that actually works for the Shuswap.

Phase 1 will focus on getting our early rider and driver community ready, building local awareness, and helping people start connecting around the rides they actually need, especially trips between communities like Salmon Arm, Blind Bay, Sorrento, Sicamous, Enderby, Armstrong, Vernon, Kelowna, and nearby areas.

The goal is simple: make local transportation feel easier, more practical, and more community-focused.

ShuHop is being built for things like:

We’re not trying to rush something half-built into the community. We’re launching step by step so riders know what to expect, drivers are set up properly, and ShuHop can grow in a way that actually helps people here.

ShuHop is launching this summer in the Shuswap.

This isn’t just another rideshare app. It’s something built here, for here.

ShuHop is a hybrid between traditional ride-hailing and community-based ridesharing. Whether you need a quick ride across town or you’re heading between communities like Salmon Arm, Vernon, or Kamloops, ShuHop is designed to make getting around simpler and more accessible.

But what really matters is how it works behind the scenes.

Most platforms take a huge cut and send that money out of the community. ShuHop keeps fees low and transparent so more of every ride goes directly to the drivers and stays right here in the Shuswap.

More money in drivers’ pockets. More money circulating locally. A stronger community because of it.
