I love this event. I also think loving something doesn’t mean never questioning it.

There are a lot of things in the LEGO fan community that seem to survive because people are afraid to say, “This doesn’t make sense.”

I’m finding I’m not very interested in being afraid of that anymore. 😂

So here’s part two of my Skærbæk auction confusion. I’m not telling anyone what to think. I’m just laying out what I saw and asking the questions I think are worth asking.

Home, but definitely not recovered. This trip took a real physical and neurological toll on me, and today I’m still mostly horizontal, trying to eat, hydrate, rest, and get my system back online.

I really wanted the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program to work. I promoted it in good faith because my journey to Denmark made me believe I had found a way to make international travel accessible to me again.

The journey home was a completely different experience.

I missed a flight because wheelchair assistance failed. I spent more than 50 hours getting home. By the end I was physically, cognitively and emotionally depleted, and I came away with some very serious questions about what this program actually means in practice.

I’m submitting a formal complaint to the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower organization today.

I’ll be talking much more about what happened, because people with invisible disabilities deserve to know what they can actually rely on before they travel.

I haven’t had this much fun at a LEGO event in years.

No booth to run. No production schedule. No tearing myself apart trying to make the trip pay for itself.

I just got to be here, talk to people, laugh, and enjoy myself.

I feel incredibly lucky tonight. 💗

This was The Brick Chick booth at BrickCon 2026. I never got a chance to post it while I was there, but so many people have told me how much they enjoyed seeing things being made in person.

I really hope I can incorporate more of this into future show booths, because having the machines there was so much fun. 💗
