Happy Earth Day. Travel and sustainability get talked about like they're opposites, and that's never sat right with me.

A few practical things I share with clients heading to Mexico or the Caribbean: reef-safe sunscreen is now required at some Riviera Maya resort properties, and the coral reef there is worth protecting. Eating locally a couple of times is a better experience and good for the local economy. Skipping single-use plastics when you can makes a real difference on an island, when you think about how many visitors those beaches see in a year.

None of these things change the quality of your vacation, they can actually enhance it. Plus - it's worth protecting the beauty of our beaches and nature.

How do you think about this when you travel? Curious what's actually become a habit for people.

Punta Cana or Cancún? It's the most common destination question I get this time of year, and the answer really does depend on what kind of trip you're after.

Both have warm weather, beautiful beaches, and all-inclusive options that work across a range of budgets. But they feel quite different once you're there. Cancún is bigger and busier, with more to do outside the resort if you want it. Punta Cana is quieter and almost entirely resort-focused, with some of the calmest beach water I've seen, which can make a difference when you're travelling with young kids.

A couple of things worth knowing: Cancún can have seasonal sargassum on the beach, particularly in summer, so it's worth checking current conditions by resort before you book. Both destinations are in hurricane season from June through November, which affects both pricing and planning. And airfare from Toronto can vary between the two, so it's always worth pricing both before committing.

If you're weighing the two and want a comparison based on your travel style and who you're going with, send me a message. Happy to walk you through it.

2027 Walt Disney World packages are officially open for booking as of this morning. January through October 2027 is now available, which means New Year's break, Spring Break, summer, and Fall Break are all on the table.

2027 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting years at Disney World in a long time. Tropical Americas opens at Animal Kingdom, the new Disney Lakeshore Lodge debuts on the water, and the Deluxe Dining Plan is back for the first time in years. There's a lot to work with, and I don't know about you, but I'm SO excited!

The families who plan early get the resort options they actually want. Spring Break 2027 in particular is not going to stay open for long.

Drop "DISNEY" in the comments or message me, and we'll start putting your trip together. My planning services are completely free to you for Disney World packages.

The right time is not coming. Book the trip.

I know that sounds blunt. But I’ve had this conversation so many times that I’ve lost count.

“We’ll go when the kids are older.”
“When work slows down.”
“When we’ve saved a bit more.”
“When things aren’t so crazy.”

And here’s the thing, I used to say the same stuff. I kept waiting for a moment that felt perfectly timed, perfectly affordable, perfectly convenient. It never came. What finally changed things for me was realising that there is no version of life where everything lines up neatly and says now is the time. You just decide it is, and you figure it out from there.

That’s when I stopped waiting and just booked it. And I’ve never once looked back wishing I’d waited longer.

Travel doesn’t require perfect circumstances. It requires a decision.

If you’ve been putting a trip off, I’d love to help you make it happen in a way that fits your real life, your real budget, and your real timeline. That’s literally what I’m here for.

What’s the trip you’ve been putting off? Drop it in the comments. 👇

Stop waiting for the right time.

The kids are young. Work is busy. Life is expensive. There’s always something.

But the trips you keep putting off? They don’t book themselves. And the “someday” version of your life has a way of staying exactly that.

There’s no perfect moment. There’s just the moment you decide.

If you’ve got a trip living rent-free in your head, comment ✈️ below and let’s make it real. Planning is free, and I’ll handle every detail.

Easter weekend is the perfect excuse to start dreaming about your next trip.

Whether you’re thinking beaches, theme parks, or a cruise ship sailing somewhere warm, I can make the planning part easy so you can focus on actually enjoying it.

Drop a 🐣 in the comments if a vacation is on your radar this year. I’d love to help you make it happen.

I don't usually post about industry pricing stuff, but this one feels worth sharing.

Air Canada Vacations just announced a $50 per person fuel surcharge on all new bookings starting April 6. Fuel costs have been rising across the travel industry, and suppliers are starting to pass that along. In my experience, when one major company moves, others tend to follow fairly quickly.

If you've been loosely thinking about a vacation this year or even early into next, whether that's an all-inclusive, a cruise, or a Disney trip, this is probably the nudge to stop thinking and start planning.

My services are free to you in most cases. Drop a "✈" below or send me a message, and I'm happy to chat through your options before pricing moves again.

Hot Take: you don't have to rope drop every single day to have an amazing Disney World vacation.

I see families stress themselves out thinking they need to be at the gates before sunrise or they're somehow "doing Disney wrong." And it's just not true.

Some of my clients sleep in until 8, enjoy a proper resort breakfast, and still have an incredible day. Others go hard in the evening when the crowds start to thin out. Both approaches work really well when you have the right plan behind them.

The families who struggle at Disney usually aren't the ones who missed rope drop. They're the ones who had no strategy at all.

What actually matters is knowing which approach fits your family and building your days around that. That's where the difference is made.

Drop a 🏰 if you're more of a sleep-in-and-take-it-slow Disney family, or a ⏰ if you're fully committed to being first through the gates.
And comment "DISNEY" if you want a trip plan that fits your style, not someone else's.🐭

This is the destination I've been telling my clients to consider right now.

If Jamaica has been on your mind, now is actually a really meaningful time to go.

Resorts are reopening, staff are coming back, and the island is ready to welcome you. But beyond the beautiful beaches and incredible food, there's something bigger happening right now.

Tourism is how many Jamaican families pay their bills, send their kids to school, and build their futures. When you book a trip, you're part of that. Not to mention - Jamaica is one of my favourite islands I've ever visited.

Ready to travel with purpose? I'd love to help you plan it. Drop a comment or send me a message, and let's talk Jamaica. 🇯🇲

These photos have been sitting in albums for years, and I finally found the right reason to share them.
This trend is made for stories like mine.

I didn’t fall into travel planning by accident. I grew up in hotel rooms, at resort restaurants, and on cruise ships. Travel was how my family experienced the world together and I never stopped paying attention to every detail of it.

That love eventually led me building a business around helping other families create the exact kind of memories I grew up with.

If you’ve been thinking about a Disney vacation, a cruise, or a beach getaway and you just don’t know where to start, that’s exactly what I’m here for.

Drop a comment or send me a message and let’s chat about your trip.
