Epicure went bankrupt. The FAILED CEO who jumped ship almost a year prior to bankruptcy has purchased the company for pennies on the dollar & she will be starting the company up again. She screwed over everyone —staff, consultants— by tanking the company. She cos-played as CEO by NOT DISCLOSING her stepping down and continually posting her usual motivational videos, training, etc, making us think it was business as usual & she was in charge. Now, she’s swooped in to buy Epicure & inevitably she will tank that too.

Us consultants are NOT supporting her due to her CONSCIOUS CHOICE to not tell us about the bankruptcy. THOUSANDS of Consultants are owed commission but we got LOCKED OUT without warning —meaning we have no proof of what we were owed. We can’t prove what our commission amount is, and/or what pay we are owed, and what free product credit we were owed.

What Ameila did was beyond cruel & deceitful. Many people relied on their Epicure income and instead of doing the ethical thing and letting people get a chance to leave, she put her profits over her people. Mamy other companies tell their staff, like Ricki’s/ Cleo clothing company most recently.

This was a family business —her & her mom built, and they pretended to be a family-oriented business catering to families, but when push came to shove, she proved that family means nothing to her. She also pretended to be a women’s advocate & small-business advocate but both of those were clearly also just a facade to get us to rally behind her.

Please do NOT support her new venture. There are other Gluten Free companies out there, and there will be more to come out of this. For me, there is principle involved in this decision to not support her. Screwing people over should never mean you’re rewarded. I will let you all know about my future ventures. I have signed up for another company to represent BUT I’m deciding if I will sell or not. I want to wait until they bring their Gluten Free products out & try them for myself. I’m not going to sell for the sake of it. I’ll keep you all posted.

There is a health & wellness company that is in the FINAL stages of acquiring Epicure!!! This means that our beloved products are *SOON* to return! The acquisition will include consultants like me, so that means I won’t be leaving you 💕

Once I know a timeline of re-opening and more info I will update you all! It MAY take a few weeks to a few months for them to get production restarted, FYI, so it will not be instant. Just rest assured that things will go back to normal relatively soon 📦🚚

In the meantime, keep messaging me with your orders and I’ll continue to source things for you! 💌

EDIT: The company trying to recoup costs is NOT PAYING CONSULTANTS their wages-owed, and we can NOT access our back-office so we do not even have a statement of what is owed — so we can not pursue legal action. Please do NOT use the generic site to order as it ONLY benefits the bankruptcy.

UPDATE: The bankruptcy company is trying to recoup costs and they will be turning the generic Epicure website back on. Please read this message in full before flocking to the site!!!

Things to Note:

• NO CONSULTANTS will be receiving commission from sales going forward from the regular website. Purchasing through them will be at your discretion

• Customers may receive emails - advertising to use host credits and such. These emails are pre-scheduled and nobody could turn them off. Please IGNORE THEM

• Epic Box orders will NOT ship for February and customers will NOT be charged for these orders

Help the sale of the Epicure business by using the hashtags or to show the prospective buyers that Epicure is popular & a loved-brand!

Please CONTINUE to message me with your product requests if you wish to help support ME in my Epicure business. I am still sourcing products through my Epicure-family and receiving commission that way, just not through the website. **IF** Epicure gets acquired, hopefully business will go back to usual, and you can continue to get your products and support me that way.

Hi Everyone,

I am shocked to announce that Epicure is out of business. I found out this evening that they have gone bankrupt, and no one aside from the owners knew. They did not even notify people at the top of the company, so everyone is shocked.

If you placed an online order, you should try to cancel the charges through your credit card company. If they say to contact Epicure, remind the cc person that you can’t contact a business that no longer exists.

If anyone would like to attempt to stock up, feel free to give me a list of your requests and if you’re willing to pay for shipping, or if you can pick up (I have a contact in Calgary).

I’m sorry to have to share this shocking news. Unfortunately they literally only emailed saying they’re closed. Nothing more.

Raise your hand if you LOVE to use spices based on your intuition!! 🙌 I am not a rule-follower and experimenting with my spices makes me happy! One of my favourites is to make what I call my “breakfast salsa” for egg sandwiches by combining our Poco Picante Salsa Mix (just the dry mix) with ketchup!

Here’s what I do: I let it rehydrate in the ketchup and then generously add it to an egg sandwich for a sweet & spicy kick! You can experiment by changing the ratios of ketchup-to-salsa and make it more or less spicy. I do approximately 5tbsp ketchup to 1tsp salsa. It’ll last for approximately 1wk in the fridge afterwards before it separates.
