Meet Bill Pallister.

Bill is one of the people helping guide the High River HandiBus.

Bill joined the board in 2022 and serves as our non-recording secretary. After living in High River for close to 25 years, Bill felt it was time to devote some of his spare time to giving back to the community he has enjoyed calling home. At 87, Bill continues to contribute his time and experience to helping the HandiBus serve the citizens of High River.

Our monthly meetings happen on the third Tuesday of each month, and September’s meeting is an important one.

Join us Tuesday, September 15 at High River United Church for the High River HandiBus Annual General Meeting at 7pm , followed by our regular monthly meeting.

It’s an opportunity to learn more about the organization, the work happening behind the scenes and the service we provide to our community.

Every ride we provide is about more than transportation. It's about helping our neighbours stay connected to medical appointments, family, friends, shopping, community events, and the independence that allows them to continue living life on their own terms.

As we celebrate our beautiful country today, we're grateful for the volunteers, supporters, donors, partners, drivers, and riders who make our mission possible.

Meet Cynthia

Cynthia has been a dedicated part of High River HandiBus since 2016, serving as Director and Recording Secretary.

What started through her husband’s involvement quickly became something she stepped into herself — joining a small but passionate group of volunteers committed to keeping HandiBus running strong in our community.

Her story is a reminder of what makes High River so special — people who show up, give their time, and truly care.

We’re so grateful for everything Cynthia brings to the board and the community. 💙
