Solo travel for women over 50, without ever feeling alone.

If you have spent years waiting for someone to go with, this is for you.

I lead small group travel for women in midlife, the kind of women’s travel that simply did not exist when I started fifteen years ago. Not a backpacking trip. Not a rigid bus tour. Real, culturally immersive journeys for women over 50 who are finally ready to see the world on their own terms.

Here is how it works. Every group is capped at ten women, so no one disappears. The immersion is local and real, never a packaged loop of photo stops. And you are supported from the first nervous step to the last, so going on your own never means going it alone.

About seventy percent of the women who travel with me come back for another journey. They arrive as strangers and leave with a table full of friends.

Follow along for honest, beautiful travel made for women over 50.

And when you are ready to stop saying someday, the link in my bio is where these journeys open first.

Honored doesn’t quite cover it. When JourneyWoman: Solo Travel + Women Over 50 Travel, Since 1994 featured us in Women Owned Wednesdays, I felt that old familiar pull. The reason we started Grit & Grace Adventures in the first place. It’s not about the accolade. It’s about knowing that every woman who books a retreat with us is choosing to invest in herself. To understand herself. Because understanding yourself is an advantage.

We built this on a simple belief: that women in midlife are powerful, curious, and ready for more. More depth. More meaning. More adventure.

So this recognition is really for you. For the women who’ve trusted us, shown up authentically, and proven over and over that transformation is possible when we do it together.

Thank you, Journeywoman. And thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey.

When did you last feel truly awake?

Not scrolling-through-life awake. Not fine awake. Actually, fully, in-your-body awake.

I just said goodbye to ten women in Marrakech and I have been sitting with something ever since. Something about the comfort crisis we are all quietly living through. And what Morocco does to it.

I wrote it all down.

Link to read below 👇🏼

A reflective story from a women’s retreat in Morocco exploring transformative travel, the Sahara Desert, cultural immersion, human connection, and what happens when we step outside the comfort crisis and back into the real world.

We are all mothers.

The mother daughter trip to the Galápagos you have been imagining is here. The sister trip. The grandmother granddaughter trip. The trip with the friend who feels like family.

The aunties who showed up when no one else could. The grandmothers who hold the memories. The women who never had children, and still mother the world.

Our stories are shared stories. We are born of each other. Connected in stardust.

This Mother’s Day, I am opening the doors to something I have been holding close for a long time.

The first Grit & Grace Intergenerational Journey. Twelve days through Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands.

Quito at nearly 2,900 metres, where the Andes carve a valley around one of the oldest cities in the Americas. Two nights in the Ecuadorian Amazon, where the rainforest hums in a thousand voices. The Otavalo market, where indigenous women have traded for centuries.

Four nights aboard a private Galápagos catamaran, where sea lions sleep on black lava and the wildlife has no fear of you.

Designed for mothers and daughters and grandmothers, traveling as pairs or trios. Built for all of us. Sisters. Aunties. Friends who feel like family.

Save this post for the woman you would bring. Send it to her if your heart already knows the answer.

16 May to 27 May, 2027.
Limited to 10 women.

Why women in midlife feel more like themselves when they travel, and how to hold onto that version of you once you get home.

Travel for women in their fifties and sixties is rarely just a holiday. It is one of the few times your nervous system gets to meet a version of you that home has spent decades quietly editing.

The boldness. The ease. The yes. None of that was the destination.

That was you, finally without the weight of everyone else’s expectations.

The challenge is not finding her. The challenge is keeping her once the same kitchen, the same dynamics, and the same unspoken expectations start running the old programme.

Swipe through for what actually keeps that version of you alive once you land back home.

Fifteen years of building meaningful travel experiences for women in midlife has taught me what holds, and what quietly slips away.

Which slide hit hardest for you? Tell me below.

just featured my Botswana women’s safari and I am still not over it.

Thank you for seeing what this trip is all about.

There was a time I lived in a tent here, tracking lions, with no idea what my life was becoming.

Now I get to bring women back to that same wild, perspective-shifting place.

If solo travel feels like too much and a group tour feels like too little, this is what you have been looking for.

Two spots remain. If it has been calling you, this is your sign.

There was a time I lived in a tent in Botswana, in the middle of nowhere, tracking lions with a film crew and wondering what the hell I was doing with my life.

Now, that same place… the one that changed me… is being featured in Yoga Journal as part of the journeys I get to lead with women from all over the world.

Life is wild like that.

This isn’t just a trip. It’s a return. To nature, to perspective, to yourself.

And I don’t take a single second of it for granted. 🤍

So so grateful 👇

You have wanted to go to India for years.

Maybe decades.

It sits on your list the way certain dreams do. Present enough to feel real. Far enough away to keep deferring. You tell yourself it is the planning. The complexity. The sheer size of it. And all of that is true. India is not a place you casually figure out on arrival. It is layered and loud and ancient and overwhelming and completely, utterly unlike anywhere else on earth.

But if you are honest, the planning was never really the reason.

The reason is that a trip like India feels significant. It feels like the kind of thing you do when you are ready. When you have given yourself permission to take up that much space. When you have decided, quietly and finally, that your turn has arrived.

I have been leading women through extraordinary places for fifteen years. And I can tell you that the women who come to India with me are not the ones who have everything figured out.

They are the ones who got tired of waiting until they did.

In February 2027 I am taking a small group of women from the backwaters of Kerala to the rose-hued streets of Jaipur. Eighteen days. A houseboat drifting through the canals at dawn. Spice plantations in the hills of Munnar. Sunrise at the Taj Mahal while the marble is still pink. Boutique properties, local guides, and never once having to navigate any of it alone.

𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒕𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏.

If India has been calling you, I would love to know.

Sometimes all it takes is one conversation to go from someday to February.

India has been on more women’s lists for longer than almost anywhere else I know.

And yet something always gets in the way. The planning feels too big. The navigation feels too complicated. The timing never quite lines up.

I built this journey for exactly that woman. The one who has been waiting for the right way in.

February 2 to 20, 2027. Kerala to Rajasthan.

Three spots left.

But first, tell me. Has India always been calling you? Or is there another place that lives in your imagination the way India lives in so many of ours?

I genuinely want to know.

Presence is not something you practice on a yoga mat or in a meditation app. Sometimes it takes a place that is genuinely indifferent to your noise before you can finally hear yourself think.

I spent a year living in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Not visiting. Living. In a place where the land flooded every season and rearranged itself, and you just learned to move with it.

That year shaped everything I build now for women in midlife who are ready for travel that actually means something. Not the Delta specifically. That feeling. The one where the world gets bigger and you, somehow, get clearer.

Fifteen years of women’s travel experiences later, I am still chasing that for every woman who travels with Grit & Grace Adventures.
