Are you looking to get involved in the community but only want a small commitment each month? The Food Bank is looking for volunteers. We are looking for volunteers who would like to help serve clients at the Food Bank once a month. We have day shifts (12:30pm-3:00pm) and evening shifts (5:00pm-7:30pm) for Food Bank appointments that we need help covering. 📚 ✏️ Although, we are all still enjoying summer vacation, purchasing school supplies is right around the corner. If you know of a family or have kids that need financial assistance purchasing school supplies please give us a message on Facebook or text us at 1-506-800-1284 with your name, and the school grade and gender of each kid.

We are also taking donations to help purchase school supplies and shoes! If you would like to donate, you can e-transfer us at [email protected] and in the comment section please write school supplies. All the donations are greatly appreciated. Last year we helped purchase 35 school supplies and pairs of shoes to help kids get ready to go back to school.

Are you participating in Grow a Row for the Food Bank? Fresh produce can be dropped off at the Food Bank on Tuesdays and Fridays morning at 10:30 am 🌱

Did you miss picking up free seeds or seedlings this weekend to "Grow a Row" in your garden for the Food Bank? We will have seeds and seedlings this Tuesday, May 19th at Thrifty's from 2pm-4pm and also all week at the Village Office.

Tomorrow at the library, the Canada Revenue Agency will be there from 12-4 offering account services such as: updating account information (address, direct deposit details, marital status, etc.), access missing slips or documents, assisting with setting up or retrieving CRA My Account access.

We will also have someone there to file simple taxes for free! Service Canada will also be at the library from 12-2:20.

Still need to have your taxes done? We are still filing simple taxes for free! Drop by the Grand Manan Library with your tax information on Wednesday, July 15th between noon- 4pm and we will get them done for you. Message us if you have any questions or need more details.
