YMM was proud to support the 2026 Alberta Airports Management Association Conference, bringing together aviation professionals from 93 airports across Alberta to share knowledge and best practices to strengthen our industry.

A special shout out to our Manager of Airport Maintenance, Jeff Vader, AAMA Vice Chair, who helped lead this year’s event and presented a YMM case study to industry peers.

Sharing experiences and lessons learned is critical to building safer, stronger and more resilient airports for the communities we serve.

Student-designed rocking chairs have landed at YMM! 🎨

Created by students from Father Patrick Mercredi Community High School and Frank Spragins High School Fort McMurray, these one-of-a-kind pieces are the latest addition to our award-winning YMM Art Strategy.

Now on display in Arrivals, Level 1, the chairs showcase local creativity while adding comfort and accessibility to the passenger experience.

Thank you to the students, teachers and school communities who helped bring this project to life. Your artwork is helping make YMM an even more welcoming place for travellers!

On Saturday, members of Team YMM had the privilege of attending the 868 YMM Rotary Northstar Fort McMurray Air Cadets Annual Ceremonial Review.

Representing the Fort McMurray Airport Authority were Cuyler Green, Vice President, Operations & Infrastructure, and Jessica Lipton, Manager, Marketing & Communications. Supporting organizations and programs that help develop future leaders is an important part of Team YMM’s commitment to our community.

Cuyler volunteers as a Squadron Civilian Instructor and board member of the Squadron Sponsoring Committee. During the ceremony, he also had the honour of presenting an award to a deserving cadet.

Congratulations to all of the cadets recognized for their achievements, and thank you to the volunteers and supporters who make this incredible program possible!

Firewood Fridays are back in support of a great local organization!

Our friends at 868 YMM Rotary Northstar Fort McMurray Air Cadets have partnered with Northland Forest Products for Firewood Fridays throughout June.

For just $40, you can fill your truck with firewood, with all proceeds supporting the Squadron and helping local youth develop leadership, teamwork and aviation-related skills.

Thanks to our friends at Northland Forest Products, we are excited to announce that every Friday in June will be 'Firewood Friday'!!
