Last but certainly not least, our last US stop was a little piece of “home” 🇩🇪❤️ Leavenworth, WA… A little Bavarian village nestled in the mountains of Washington. We put on our German best 😉 We rode the mountain coaster and stayed downtown all afternoon and evening. We stopped at multiple Biergarten for German cuisine and beer. A new Christmas decoration for the house from Kris Kringl (2 level store 🎅) and some live music before we turned in for the night. Truly a magical stop. **Side note - I have a VERY easy going husband who goes along w my shenanigans, I gave him his shirt that morning 🤣

Day 2 - Bellingham to Astoria ~ Goonie for the day ha ha ! We stopped in Seattle at Pike Market for lunch carried on. We stopped at Ecola State Park for a hike and looking at the incredible views of the Pacific and the haystacks! In Astoria we stayed at the Norblad Inn ~ we give the hotel a 5/5!! It was an amazing boutique hotel! It had such a great vibe. The walls of the lobby were covered in vinyl records. The gentleman that checked us in told us we could take any records and a record player to the room. Couldn’t pass that up. The hotel was in a premium spot for walking, it was such a great experience!! 🏴‍☠️🖤

Day 1 of our road trip into the USA – destination ~ Oregon Coast. 1st stop ~ Bellingham, WA. This was an unexpected treasure. The weather was beautiful and we found some beautiful gems right in the city centre including Whatcom Falls Park and Boulevard Park. We stopped for lunch and a couple games of co****le and connect 4 at a German Beer garden ~ Schweinhaus Biergarten. Our hotel was a 4/5 -  points to mention – shuttle service available, a hot breakfast and full size toiletries. The only thing we would change was being closer to the downtown, we would have stayed out later. Best Western Plus Bellingham.
