We're not home inspectors, but after seeing homes of every age and condition, there are a few things we'd always take a closer look at before buying.

✅ Check for signs of water damage under sinks and around windows.
✅ Open and close every door and window.
✅ Test light switches and electrical outlets.
✅ Turn on the taps and check the water pressure.
✅ Ask about the age of the furnace, air conditioner, and water heater.
✅ Walk around outside and look for cracks, drainage issues, or anything that doesn't look quite right.

A professional home inspection is always worth it, but these simple checks can help you ask better questions.

❌ Myth: Big and heavy.
✅ Reality: It's actually the opposite.

Books, tools, and other heavy items should go in small boxes so they're easier and safer to lift. Save the large boxes for lighter items like pillows, bedding, towels, and clothing.

Your back, and your movers, will thank you. 💙
