‘NOT FOR SALE’ I am only posting these as it was a huge learning curve for me. Slipper boots....so my friend found a specific pattern that she wanted and based on first assessment of the pattern it was fully yarn slipper boots with a fairly straight forward pattern. What I learned for the first time was the pattern was written incorrectly and the sizing was way way off. The first pair was made by adjusting the pattern to at least get the same stitch count. Unfortunately using a wool blend yarn (which it called for) wore through the bottoms fairly quickly. I decided to check out suede bottoms. Holy expensive! I did find an amazing suede sole but for a very increased price which didn’t match what I was offering. I came up with my own version and came true to my word on offering a solution that gave my friend a quality product. I wouldn’t choose this pattern ever again as it’s not written correctly and trying to correct it caused too many issues and I also wouldn’t want to create my own suede bottoms again. That being said with the right pattern I do have a line on amazing natural Marino soles that will keep your slippers in tip top shape for years to come. As with many things you get what you pay for. These wouldn’t be cheap but would last a long time. I will create and post a style of slipper boots I will be able to offer and priced accordingly.
