We are currently fundraising for a new Handivan, with the goal of purchasing a new vehicle in 2027. Join us for an evening of fun, memories, music, and community as we celebrate this incredible milestone and support the next chapter of Handivan service in our community.

Thank you to our wonderful community for making our fundraising BBQ such a success today! We had so much fun! This brings us a little closer to our goal of purchasing a new van next year!

🍜 COME HUNGRY TO WORLD RIVERS DAY! 🏴‍☠️

We’ve got lots happening at Ryall Park this Saturday, September 12, and you won’t have to leave the festivities when it’s time to grab something to eat!

The Carman Handi-van will be firing up the BBQ as a fundraiser in support of their NEW HANDI VAN.
For $10, enjoy a hamburger or smokie, chips and a drink.
It’s cash only, and additional donations are gratefully accepted. A great lunch AND a great way to support an important service in our community!

We’re also excited to welcome Cucina Filipinas rice & noodles, a small-scale, family-owned Filipino restaurant bringing some delicious Filipino flavors to Ryall Park!
Their menu features a great selection including silog meals, pancit noodles, pork skewers, spring rolls, sizzling pork sisig and Filipino desserts.

If you haven’t had a chance to try their food before, World Rivers Day is a perfect opportunity!

🌭🍔 FUNDRAISING BBQ FOR THE CARMAN HANDIVAN! 🍔🌭

Join us Saturday, September 12th from 11 AM–4 PM at the Boyne River Keepers/Carman Community Chamber of Commerce World River Day for a delicious BBQ in support of the Carman HandiVan!

This is the first of many fundraisers as we work toward an important goal: purchasing a new HandiVan in 2027 to continue providing accessible transportation for our community.

🍔 Hamburger or Smokie Combos — available with your choice of drink & chips- $10
Cash only. �💰 Donations are gratefully accepted toward the purchase of the new HandiVan.�🧾 Tax receipts can be issued for donations over $20.

Every burger, smokie, and donation brings us one step closer to reaching our goal!

Come out to World River Day, grab some lunch, enjoy the festivities, and help us keep the wheels moving for our community! 🚐

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, Carman — it’s officially September, which means World Rivers Day is only 12 DAYS AWAY! ⚓

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 12 and get ready for an afternoon of pirate adventures, family fun and plenty happening throughout Ryall Park and downtown Carman!

Here’s a look at what’s planned:

🏴‍☠️ Pirate Poker Derby – 11 AM–3 PM | $10/hand
🗺️ Landlubbers’ Poker Derby – 12–3 PM | $10/hand
🚗 Wheels Car Show – 12–4 PM | 1st St. SW
🔎 Kids Treasure Hunt – 12–3 PM
🏰 Pirate Ship Bouncy Castle – 1–4 PM
🛍️ Young Makers & Community Market – 12–4 PM
🍴 Food available throughout the day- Carman Handi-van will be cooking up smokies and burgers and Cucina Filipinas will be on site with their delicious cuisine.
🏆 Prize Presentations – 4 PM

And when the daytime adventures wrap up, the fun continues at the Carman Legion Pirate Pub, with live music by Travis Barre beginning at 6:30 PM! 🎶🍻

Over the next 12 days, we’ll be highlighting the different activities and sharing everything you need to know to take part.

We’re set up and ready to see you at the Carman Community Hall!

We are collecting children’s clothing to give away at our Suit Up for Success event in October. Last year we collected all clothes but we were overwhelmed! This year we are receiving donations of women’s clothing from Evensong Closet and private donations of men’s clothes, so we are collecting children’s clothing only.

If you have children’s clothing to donate, come see us at the Carman Community Hall today until 3pm!

CWC will be at the Carman Community Hall from 1-3 on Saturday collecting children’s clothes donations of clothes that have not sold from your sales! Be sure to think of them when you are packing up!

Have kids clothes that you no longer need? Donate them to Carman Wellness Connections during the Town Wide Garage Sale this Saturday!
