As you can see from these pics - a little teamwork can go a very long way!

For Canadian Thanksgiving, the SmartShield team came together again to collect food donations for Cambridge Food Bank.

From gathering donations to packing everything up and loading the cars, it was great seeing so many of our colleagues getting involved.

A big thank you to everyone on the team who contributed and helped make it happen.

We're super grateful to be part of such a caring community, and glad to be able to support the important work Cambridge Food Bank does for local families.

Got a void to fill? We’ve got your back!

From foam and paper to air pillows and other protective materials, the right void filler depends on what you’re shipping, the value and quality of the product, how much protection it needs and how it’s travelling.

One key thing we’ve found when designing packaging for medical equipment? Where it’s being unpacked matters.

If it’s in a hospital or medical setting, we want to know.

Because the available space, how easy the equipment is to access within the packaging, and even what happens to the materials afterwards, all affect the type of packaging solution we recommend.

If a traditional lid is awkward to remove in the space, say, then we can look at a different opening system that makes accessing the equipment easier.

Getting sensitive medical equipment to its destination safely is important - but so is making life easy for your customer at the other end.
