The first hints of fall are starting to show, and soon the mountains will be trading their summer greens for golds, rusts and oranges.

It's a short season, but arguably one of Kananaskis' best looks.

And just like any good fall wardrobe, layers are essential- especially when the Rockies can serve up all 4 seasons before lunch.

The Fall '26 collection is just starting to make its way onto the trails...and we're very ready for it 🍁

Introducing TrailMatch — because finding the right trail is a lot like dating.

Some are easygoing and emotionally available. 💚
Some have high standards.
Some escalate very quickly. 🔥
And some look innocent until you’re already too invested to turn around. 😇

Sometimes it’s hard to remember we’re at work when our office is a campsite.
With delicious camp food, campfire talks, and some pesky neighbours, who can blame us for forgetting to pick up our phones?

Those chef-prepared camping meals don’t just magically appear beside the campfire—although we’re happy to let our guests believe they do. 🦫🏕️

A lot goes into feeding our camping guests before the meals ever make it to camp: thoughtful menu planning, accommodating dietary concerns, grocery shopping, prepping, cooking, packaging, sanitizing and tracking temperatures along the way. Then checking the temperatures again, because apparently “feels cold enough” isn’t an approved food-safety procedure. 🌡️

Here’s a little peek at the beavers hard at work during one of our prep days in an AHS-approved commercial kitchen.

It’s not the most glamorous part of camping—but it is how we make eating well in the mountains look easy. 🏔️

🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day! 🍁

If there's one thing we've learned since starting Busy Beavers, it's that we really hit the jackpot living here.

Sure... we complain when it snows in May, when the mosquitoes are the size of hummingbirds, and when a "quick little hike" somehow gains 600 metres of elevation... but we'd choose these mountains every single time.

We started Busy Beavers because we wanted more people to experience what makes this place so special. Not just the postcard views, but the laughs on the trail, the campfire conversations, the "I didn't think I could do that" moments, and the friendships that somehow happen between complete strangers before the drive home.

We're incredibly proud to be building a small Canadian business doing something we genuinely love. Every person who books a hike, shares a reel, tells a friend about us, or laughs at our questionable mountain humour is helping us turn a pretty wild idea into something real.

So thank you.

Now go celebrate Canada the best way we know how... Get outside. Touch some rocks. Eat a sandwich with an unnecessarily good view. And if you hear someone say, "We're almost there,"... just know you're in good company. 😉

We've spent countless hours researching trails, checking conditions, scouting routes, and deciding which views are actually worth the effort.

So when we say "the view is worth it," we've got the photos, snacks, and sore legs to prove it. 🦫🏔️🥪

We're not saying you should spend a weekend in the wilderness with people you met on the internet...

We're just saying there will be mountain views, campfire meals, s'mores, a guided hike, and someone else handling all the planning.
