🚨 Planning a Disneyland vacation? There’s a transportation change you need to know about!
If you’ve visited Disneyland before and relied on the Anaheim ART buses, things have changed. The Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) system officially ceased operations on March 31, 2026.
While a long-term replacement may still be in the works, here are some of the best ways to get from your hotel to the Disneyland Resort today:
🏨 1. Skip Transportation Altogether
If you’re traveling with little ones, pushing a stroller, or simply want the easiest start and end to your park day, staying within walking distance of the parks can be worth every penny.

• Grand Californian
• Disneyland Hotel (my favorite pool area!)
• Pixar Place Hotel
✨ Good Neighbor Hotels
• The Anaheim Hotel
• Courtyard by Anaheim Theme Park Entrance
Being just a 5–10 minute walk from the gates can save time, money, and a lot of tired feet at the end of a long park day.
🚌 2. Hotel & Area Shuttles
Many hotels still offer shuttle service, either complimentary or for a small daily fee.
• Anaheim Garden Grove Resort Hotels: $7 per person/day
• Anaheim Resort Campus Hotels: $6 per person/day
💡 Don’t forget about the FREE Toy Story Parking Lot shuttle. It’s one of my favorite transportation hacks since you’ll go through security before boarding, helping streamline your arrival at the parks.
🚗 3. Uber, Lyft, or a Rental Car
Looking to save money on accommodations? Staying farther away and using ride-share services can be a great option.
Keep in mind that Uber and Lyft pickup/drop-off areas can get quite busy during rope drop and park closing, so allow a little extra time.
A rental car is another option, especially if you’re planning to explore beyond Disneyland. Just be sure to factor in hotel parking fees and Disneyland parking costs, which can add up quickly.
🎯 My Recommendation
Until a permanent transportation solution is announced, my number one recommendation is to stay within walking distance of either Disneyland or the FREE Toy Story shuttle.
A little planning before your trip can save you time, stress, and money once you’re there.
