AVIATION: Last week, as Director of Aviation/DDG of Tourism, I was honored to return to the campus of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) as The Minister of Energy, Utilities and Aviation, The Honourable JoBeth Coleby-Davis, executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) alongside MTSU’s President Dr. Sidney McPhee (a proud Bahamian son).
This amended MOU with MTSU is aimed at strengthening collaboration and expanding the aviation sector, create training opportunities for existing and emerging aviation professionals, strengthen the institutional framework between The Department of Aviation, MTSU and The University of The Bahamas, as most importantly continue to position The Bahamas as the Regional Leader in Aviation.
The highlight for me however, was seeing the pride in the eyes of the young Bahamians enrolled in MTSU Aerospace Program (our first cluster of International Bahamians Aviation Cadets), and knowing that the future of Bahamas Aviation is being prepared today. 🇧🇸✈️
