*☂️ THE POWER OF HOLDING UP YOUR UMBRELLA*
*By Omezi Don Pedro*
☂️ Imagine it is raining. You step out and quickly realize you need an umbrella. You reach for one. It may not look expensive or special, but when you lift it, it protects you. It may have a wooden handle, a plastic one, or even a metallic one, but what matters most is that it keeps the rain from touching you. That simple umbrella does not stop the rain; it simply stops the rain from falling on you. In the same way, a man may not seem perfect or impressive, but if he fulfills what he was created to do, he gets the job done. God made the man to stand in the storm, to face the rain, to handle what life pours out. The rain falls on him, but it rolls off because he was built for it.
☂️ You, woman, were not made to handle the rain. You were made to hold up the one who can. The man is your umbrella, and your role is to lift him. When you hold him up, you are protected. When you let him fall, the rain falls on you. Without that umbrella, you will come back soaked and smelling like what poured on you. But when you hold him up, you remain dry and safe. You are not weak for holding him; you are wise. You are not less; you are walking in divine alignment. God did not make you to fight the storm directly; He made you to hold up the one who can stand in it for you.
☂️ Every woman has her preference in umbrellas. Some like the wooden handle, some prefer gold plated, some love plastic, and others like steel. Some umbrellas are large, some small, some light, some heavy. Yet no matter how different they look, their purpose is the same. They protect, they cover, they shield. Likewise, no matter what kind of man God gave you, his purpose is to shield you. If God gave him to you, He has already given you the strength to hold him. If your umbrella feels heavy, it is because God made your arms strong enough to carry it. If it is wide, it is because your heart and faith are wide enough to handle it. God does not give you a man you are too weak to lift.
☂️ The umbrella cannot lift itself. It may be strong and well built, but unless someone holds it up, it remains unused and ineffective. The same applies to a man. He cannot stand fully in his purpose if the woman who was made to help him does not lift him. When you pray for him, when you speak life over him, when you respect him, when you believe in him, you are lifting him into his purpose. But when you tear him down, ignore him, or refuse to hold him up, the storm finds its way in. If your man is not standing as he should, it may not be because he is weak but because you have not lifted him as you should.
☂️ God gave the man a capacity and a responsibility that women do not have. This is not inequality, it is divine order. The man carries the burden of leadership, the responsibility of protection, and the weight of standing before God for his home. That is his assignment. You, woman, were made to support that calling, not to carry it alone. You are the vessel of grace, wisdom, and strength that helps him stay lifted. You are not weaker; you are differently equipped. You are designed to hold up what holds you. When you understand that, you walk in strength, not in submission. You walk in divine wisdom.
☂️ A wise woman knows that if her man stands tall, she had a part in it. When he fulfills his purpose, when he provides, protects, and leads, she knows she helped him become who he is meant to be. Her strength is not shown in shouting; it is shown in steadiness. Her power is not in replacing him; it is in holding him. The proof of her influence is not in what she says, but in the peace of her home, the security of her family, and the covering over her life. When she holds him up, everything under that umbrella remains safe.
☂️ So hold him up. Hold him when the rain falls and when the sun burns. Hold him when he feels strong and when he feels weak. Hold him when others doubt him, because you were made to lift him. You were not made to face the storm alone but to stand under the covering God gave you. Whether your umbrella is light or heavy, gold or wooden, old or new, lift it high. Stand beneath it with faith and gratitude. Because when you hold him up, you are holding up your own protection. And when the rain stops and the clouds clear, you will both stand together, dry, strong, and grateful that you each fulfilled what you were created to do.
