Rosa and the family’s new restaurant literally on the beach…. Fantastic 👌👌

Rosa and the team used to have Marina on the front for many years, then more recently were at Briz opposite the big wheel.
We wish them all the success with the new location and can’t wait for a double sword!

Hello all.
Rosa and her family have posted regarding their new location of the restaurant. I have known Rosa for 10+ years. They used to have the Marina restaurant on the front; then the last few years the Briz by the big wheel. They have moved further along next to Gulliver bar and are literally on the beach. Looks fantastic and we wish them all the success in the future.

Hello friends, we are happy to announce that our new place is right on the sand with a beautiful view of the sea.

The exact location is under the Heaven hotel. The restaurant is located between Ginger on one side and la bamba and Guliver on the other side.

So everyone saying ‘wait til the summer comes and price will go up’, here is around 3.50 and 4 euro a beer. Borovets is always slightly more than sunny beach as it’s a ski resort.

The Legend of Baba Marta
In Bulgarian folklore, Baba Marta is an unpredictable character. Picture a feisty grandmother with a weather-controlling wand, her moods are said to rule the winds and skies of March. To charm her, Bulgarians celebrate this day with tokens of goodwill, hoping to convince her into bringing an early spring.
Martenitsi
The heart of Baba Marta’s celebration lies in the Martenitsi (singular: Martenitsa), delightful little ornaments crafted from red and white threads. Each colour with its own meaning: red, the spark of life and vitality; white, the glow of purity and long-lasting joy. These charming tokens are worn as bracelets or pinned as brooches.
As they exchange Martenitsi, friends and family cheerfully exclaim “Chestita Baba Marta!” (“Happy Baba Marta!”). These tokens are worn until the first signs of spring — a blooming tree, a flying stork, or a chirping swallow. Then they are tied to blossoming branches or nestled under rocks, symbolising the blossoming of a new season.

I often discuss the moving borders of Bulgaria, particularly the fact that Bulgaria had a Mediterranean coast also. Various wars and conflicts have changed the borders over history. The whole Balkan region must have seen more changes than most.

Ok, my head is frazzled. Yesterday I posted to try and help people out and stop the panic.

So the euro is here. Any big changes? No.
Last summer, I explained the lev is pegged at 1.95 against the euro and has been since the euro adoption. People slagged me off.

I’ve shown pictures of prices. People slag me off.

The 1 lev is now 1 euro talk is utter nonsense. People here need to live.

After all that I still get rude comments on pages saying ‘it’s cheaper in Spain’. Sound onto Spain.

I’m not here as a Bulgarian PR guy. I’m trying to explain what’s happening as I see it; on the ground. Not rumours or guesswork.

So, the biggest question I am answering is ‘how much is a pint? Is 5 lev now 5 euro.

So I have taken upon myself to go out and have a beer for you all.

As you can see the prices are, as we said, marked in both currencies (until 8th August 2026) and the price is converted.

This scaremongering that 1 lev is now 1 euro is ridiculous and putting people’s businesses at risk.
