⚠️ READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING VOCO MAKKAH!
There is a review circulating from a Haji that everyone planning their Umrah needs to hear. While Voco Makkah has long been a popular 5-star choice, the shuttle situation has changed significantly, and it is having a profound impact on the Umrah experience for many.
What has changed? 🚩
The Drop-off Point: Shuttles no longer drop passengers at the Clock Tower basement. The new station is located on the left side of the Clock Tower, a 15–20 minute walk from the Haram. In rush hours, this can take even longer.
The Wait: Shuttles are often held until they are completely full with standing passengers before they move, leading to long waits in the heat.
The Physical Toll: For many—especially the elderly—this extra walking and standing takes away the energy needed for what matters most: Ibadat.
Our Sincere Advice 🕋
We believe Umrah is for Ibadat, not for struggling with "luxury" logistics that don't deliver on convenience. Many people save for years to make this journey, and every moment should be spent in peace, not in a bus line.
Instead of choosing a 5-star hotel with a difficult shuttle service, we highly recommend booking a 3-star hotel within walking distance of Masjid Al Haram.
While you might trade off some "luxury" amenities, you gain the most valuable thing: time and ease of access to the House of Allah. Being able to walk to the Masjid in a few minutes is far more peaceful than waiting for a crowded shuttle.
Spread the word! Please share this with anyone planning their journey so they can make an informed choice.
