๐ง A Milestone for Regional Freight & Livestock Transport ๐ง
Today marks the official commissioning of the new Alpha Cross Loader Facility, delivered in partnership with Barcaldine Regional Council and proudly supported by LRTAQ. ๏ฟผ
It was fantastic to have members of the LRTAQ Committee on site representing industry at this important milestone โ a great example of what can be achieved when industry and local government work together.
This purpose-built infrastructure is a game changer for the region. Designed to improve driver safety, animal welfare and operational efficiency, cross loaders play a critical role where direct delivery isnโt possible, providing a safer and more controlled environment for livestock transfers. ๏ฟผ
The Alpha facility sets a strong benchmark for what can be achieved across Queensland. It not only supports the local freight task but strengthens the broader supply chain โ enhancing productivity, reducing risk and improving outcomes across the board.
Importantly, this is just the beginning. Facilities like this are needed right across the state, and LRTAQ will continue advocating for more investment in practical, on-the-ground solutions that support our industry and regional communities.
