Skydiving = completed it✔

A bucket list must do! Especially if you get the opportunity to free fall from 15,000ft over the most beautiful part of Australia🪂

📍The Daintree Rainforest, QLD
The largest rainforest in Australia and the oldest in the world, with plant species found nowhere else🤯
It's a great place to spot wild crocs in the river, cassowaries in the bush and if you're lucky, tree kangaroos in the treetops🌿
The Daintree is where the forest meets the ocean and is quite literally breathtaking😍

📍Emerald, Sapphire and Rubyvale QLD

💰 Looking for our retirement fund in our 20s.. safe to say we'll still be going to work tomorrow😂

💎 Unlike their names suggest, Emerald is actually named after green pasture and Rubyvale after a large red zircon that was found there.
However, the town of Sapphire does live up to it's name with sapphires a plenty!

What an incredible month we have had travelling Tasmania, the Nature State. Whilst a trip to Tassie wasn't in our initial travel plans, we are SO glad we didn't miss it!⛴🌏🌿

🗻 Obviously, the main attraction is Cradle Mountain - a stunning National Park, with walks to suit everyone; yet there's heaps more amazing spots around the island. Here's some of our favourites:

▪️The Nut & the lovely quaint town of Stanley 🌰
The old volcano is accessible via a steep walk or a chairlift (I know which I'd rather!). Visit Highfield Historic Site for views of The Nut and an insight of early white settlers.
▪️Little Blue Lake 🏞
Previously a tin mine, the aqua blue waters are a reflection of the blue skies, due to the mineral content.
▪️The Neck and Bruny Island 🏝
A great island visit to see the famous neck, Bruny's crystal clear waters and if you're lucky a white wallaby.
▪️Epic sunrises and sunsets from the beach☀️
▪️Port Arthur 🔒
Well worth the visit, learning about convict history, ghost tours & more.
▪️Mount Wellington 🌄
At 1271m tall, enjoy panoramic views of Hobart City and the best thing is, you don't even need to climb it; hop in the car and drive straight to the summit!
▪️The Tarkine Drive 🚗
Spend half a day exploring sinkholes, lookouts, bush walks & much more!
▪️Arboretum 🍃
One of best places to see platypus and native/non-native flora.
▪️Dip Falls 😍
Out of over 15+ waterfalls we visited in Tas, this is our favourite.
▪️99 Bends of Queenstown 9️⃣9️⃣
Unfortunately, we lost our photos from here but it's definitely not one to miss. Amazing views from the cliff tops.

📍 Tarkine Drive

🔎 We decided to head out and explore the wilderness of the Tarkine Region.

🏞 The 130km round trip from Smithton, encapsulates; sink holes, rugged coastline and natural wonders along the journey. We recommend to spend an afternoon doing this loop and take in the views.

The Platypus, Ornithorhynchus anatinus

❓ It's easy to see why European naturalists were confused when they first encountered this 'Frankenstein' creature. In 1799, a preserved platypus was examined and deemed fake, a mix-match of other animals sewn together.

🔎 Known as convergent evolution, the platypus is an egg-laying mammal that is capable of delivering a venomous strike to its prey, like a reptile. Other similarities to other animals include;
• A bill like a duck🦆
• Electrolocation (small receptors on the bill) like a shark 🦈
• A tail like a beaver 🦫
• Otter-like webbed feet 🦦

👀 We could spend hours watching these incredible animals swimming around and diving down looking for food. Make sure to keep a look out for them, especially in Tas
