Local Travel Consultant (Experienced) - Part Time
Location: Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast
Helloworld Travel Varsity Lakes is a well-established, privately-owned family owned travel agency operating under the renowned Helloworld Travel Group.
Located in Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast, we have been providing exceptional travel services since opening in 2006. Our agency specialises in booking and managing domestic and international holidays.
We are experiencing a significant surge in bookings, leading us to seek an experienced consultant to join our team immediately - 3 days a week (Flexible Hours).
Job Description:
As an experienced travel consultant, you will play a crucial role in our agency's success by assisting clients in planning and booking their dream vacations.
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and destinations.
Responsibilities:
Utilise your previous travel agency experience to book and manage domestic and international holiday packages for clients.
* Handle customer enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring excellent customer service from initial contact to trip completion.
Utilise industry-specific client reservation and financial management systems such as SABRE GDS and Resworld to efficiently manage bookings.
* Leverage your extensive travel experience to provide expert advice and recommendations to clients.
* Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanour while assisting clients over the phone and in person.
* Demonstrate excellent organisational skills to efficiently manage multiple bookings and client itineraries.
* Display a keen understanding of sales techniques and actively contribute to achieving sales targets.
* Prioritise customer satisfaction by ensuring a seamless travel experience for clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience working in a travel agency is essential.
Proficiency in industry-specific client reservation and financial management systems such as SABRE GDS and Resworld.
* Well-travelled, with a deep knowledge and passion for various destinations worldwide.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Impeccable phone manner and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
*Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Sales-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
* Professional and well-presented appearance.
* A dedication to providing outstanding customer service.
