Take a look at this E75 powered by 2 1200 HP v8 MAN engines.

Alverstoke recently completed a full engine + gearbox service as well as a pre-sale inspection for Bellagio before the vessel found itself a new home.

We always pride ourselves on taking the extra precautions and care for owners vessels when undertaking any works, because for jobs like this and many others, anything less is simply unacceptable.

A little bit of what we have been up to in the Marine space over the last few months.
Keeping busy with heat exchangers, saltwater pumps, servicing & tune ups, engine refits etc
We plan to get some more in depth posts on specific jobs, and share some of our industry & airport work as well in 2026 so stay tuned!

A few weeks ago Alverstoke got the opportunity to walkthrough and experience the all new (and get the Hobart based team together infront of a camera)

We can’t share much but it’s definitely a big upgrade from the current service. From the advanced propulsion, stability and navigation systems to the majorly upgraded facilities and accomodation, it certainly will make road travel to and from the island more appealing once in commission.

We were privileged to be welcomed onboard and look forward to using the service down the line.

Alverstoke Engineering are pleased to announce we now offer sales and support for Seakeeper Gyro in Tasmania.

Last week one of our technicians was lucky enough to visit the Seakeeper University in Queensland to get some invaluable hands on experience with the gyro systems, completing the full service technician course.
As well as a quick visit through the boat works to keep up to date with what’s happening in the marine game up north.

Gavin was full of knowledge and the team at Seakeeper are a dream to work with. Thanks again guys!

Exhaust manifold clean and reseal for this caterpillar 3406e. As seen, cylinder 6 had blown its gasket, positioned extremely close to the air filter this was causing problems dirtying the air filter and if left could result in damage to the manifold, cylinder head or both.
We checked the manifold surfaces for flatness, a little freshen up of rusted parts with some prep and paint and with new OEM gaskets, studs and seals fitted she was good to go.
As a full time operating passenger ferry, timeframes were short on this one but the boys put the effort in to get it done, and do it right!

One Sydney to Hobart favourite ‘Love and War’ and another motor sailer ‘Born Free’. Both powered by Nanni Diesel engines.

2024 saw a big year on the tools for Alverstoke Engineering. From sailing boats, commercial vessels, pleasure yachts, deep offshore vessels, farm & plant machinery, and everything in between.
We were lucky to experience exciting times, navigate challenges, travel across Australia & Tasmania, and of course meet awesome people along the way! We are back at work in 2025 and have hit the ground running, keeping business’s operating, and individuals able to enjoy their toys with reliability and safety.

Thanks to everyone who has, and who continue to support our business and remember that no job is too big or too small at Alverstoke Engineering.

Service & health check on one of our recent repowers today. A good time to give things a once over before it heads round to the rugged West Coast of Tasmania to go fishing, where it will stay for a few months.
