Tarlee Town & Market 80kms North of Adelaide, Tarlee is situated in the 'Gilbert Valley'. Tarlee is also at the start of The Tarlee Market was started nearly 20 years ago.

It currently is situated at the Tarlee Hall and adjacent oval. On average 70 stalls comprising of food stalls, second hand collectables and craft. It is run twice a year on Monday of the long weekends in March and October.

Update 4pm: Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash at Tarlee this morning.

Just after 5.30am Wednesday 31 December police were called to the Horrocks Highway, Tarlee after reports a white Toyota Tarago containing eight people had lost control and rolled.

Sadly, two of the passengers died at the scene.

The six other occupants, including the driver, sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.

The Horrocks Highway was closed while Major Crash investigators examined the scene but has since reopened.

The Tarago was towed from the scene.

The deaths are the 86th and 87th lives lost on SA Roads this year.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage of the white Toyota Tarago travelling prior to the crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and quote reference 336768.
