We were delighted to help a client with a custom solution to a very challenging delivery this month, with lots of niche elements !

✅ - Tight Deadline 😲

I spoke to my linehaul interstate partners to help with the interstate element, but the unique complications of this consignment, meant they couldn't help this time.

After several days exploring options, in the end, the only solution to meet the requirements was a direct express hot shot style run, direct from WA to NSW, 8,500 kilometres, over 9 days.

This job required considerable planning, coordination and teamwork, including a site visit to the clients WA premises to work on the small details(where the devil is hiding 😉), and also coordinating with the receivers team over in NSW.

It wasn't all smooth sailing, as with the Nullarbor rail link being washed away, the roads were already very busy.

Then, the highest rain fall in recorded history, ever to hit South Australia 😬 meant almost the entire road network was closed, including the main Broken Hill road.

Plans had to be adapted on the fly to manage this, turned back and diverted a few times and then diverted through Victoria, which added several hours to the journey, which meant recalculating and adjusting the stops to remain compliant with NHVR fatigue laws.

As the cliché goes, "teamwork makes the dream work", and we delivered the equipment within our agreed window, and on time for when it was needed !

I am always delighted to be the solution to a clients problem, but what really makes it all worthwhile - the superb 5 star google review the client left on our Google Business Profile.

We were delighted this week to help a freight forwarding client of ours with an urgent requirement to bring premium gourmet cheese flown in from Paris for an exclusive event in Perth's beautiful Swan Valley wine region, with some very tight timelines.
Established in 1829 and just 30 minutes from Perth CBD, Swan Valley is a must visit location when visiting Perth, with gourmet food, premium wineries, delicious craft beers and many other premium gourmet based tourist offering for all food lovers !

One of the areas we are delighted to service is WA's beautiful Wheat Belt Region. Rolling hills of rich fertile wheat and canola fields, sparsely peppered with quaint towns, one of which is York. York is only 90 minutes from Perth, with charming authentic colonial buildings, wide historic cast iron verandas, and as always with regional towns, a local bakery serving delicious home made sausage rolls & meat pies 😁. Its a lovely charming town, not just the agriculture hub of the region but a busy tourist spot also, with many caravaners using it as a rest stop.

An urgent run to rescue some hungry miners on a Goldfields mine site last week, as their food order had been overlooked by their supplier. Which gave us a great opportunity to have a stop in Kalgoorlie and check out the world famous Super Pit. I have been on over 20 open pit mine sites throughout WA, and this is by far the biggest and the deepest. Very Impressive !

An urgent run to rescue some hungry miners on a Goldfields mine site last week, as their food order had been overlooked by their supplier. Which gave us a great opportunity on the way back to have a stop in Kalgoorlie and check out the world famous Super Pit. I have been on over 20 open pit mine sites throughout WA, and this is by far the biggest and the deepest. Very Impressive !

One of the many enjoyable experiences about servicing the regional areas is visiting the quaint towns dotted around the WA countryside.
One of the highlights which I pass through regularly is Harvey, which was established around 1850.
Named after the nearby Harvey River, its most famous for Harvey Beef abattoir and Harvey Fresh fruit juices, and of course, Harvey Dam. It also hosts the "Big Orange" and has thriving tourism industry. I can also confirm the Harvey bakery has superb home made pies 😋😁!
With access to a fleet of Temperature Controlled Vehicles, from 2 pallet to 14 pallet, I am delighted to service anywhere in the West & South West of WA.

Huge THANKS to Shaynnon Hagger at Scully RSV for inviting me to collaborate on an editorial in this months Food & Beverage Magazine (link below-Pages 30 & 31). While pharmaceuticals is my main clients industry, I also work with high value "premium" food service, such as live Abalone & Rock Lobster, from metro and regional !

It's great being able to offer a professional, reliable refrigerated transport service, customised to each client while being flexible & adaptable ! In addition to my own owned vehicles, I have access to a Scully's fleet of Utes/Vans and Trucks, from 2 pallet to 14 pallet, temperature can be from -20 to +20 Celsius, set as the client requires - Fantastic !!!😁

What a fantastic evening last week at the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2024 or "The Frogies" 😁. Jointly presented by FCC CEO Chrissie Maus and Hannah Fitzhardinge, Mayor of Fremantle(who kindly posed for a pic) both were an excellent team and did a superb job keeping the entertainment going. Andrew Outhwaite organised a great event, the tour of the Australian Marine Complex was eye opening, world class facilities, just 5 minutes from my house !
