MTM Earthmoving Proudly Supports Day for Daniel 2025

Day for Daniel is Australia’s largest national day of action dedicated to raising awareness for child safety, protection, and harm prevention. It encourages conversations about keeping children safe and empowers communities to take an active role in their wellbeing.

This year marks the 5th year that MTM Earthmoving has proudly supported Parkerville Primary School’s Day for Daniel initiative. We’re honoured to continue standing alongside the school and local community to promote the vital message of child safety.

On Friday, 31st October 2025, our family and school will once again wear red and raise funds for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation — and as part of our ongoing commitment, MTM Earthmoving will double every dollar raised by Parkerville Primary School.

Child safety isn’t just important — it’s everything to us.
Together, we can help make a lasting difference.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation through Day for Daniel.
As a joint effort with Parkerville Primary School we raised a total of $812.10.
The kids enjoyed watching the new ebook from the Morcombes. They then completed a balloon craft activity in which they put some important information about keeping safe.

Wear Red and Donate ❤️

Tomorrow is Day for Daniel.

This has been something so important to our family
and for the past 4 years, we have worked with Parkerville Primary School to bring awareness to child safety through Day for Daniel
Our business will double the donates made tomorrow from school.

For those parents or students who don't know about Daniel here is his story. This is a great talking point with your kids about being safe online, in the streets and reacting when needed.

Daniel Morcombe was a 13 year old boy, living with his parents and brothers in the town of Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
While on his way to buy Christmas presents for his family at a local shopping centre, he went missing.

He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, waiting for a bus at 10 minutes past 2pm on Sunday 7th December 2003. He was abducted and murdered; after years of searching and an incredible undercover police investigation Daniel was finally found in 2011.

Daniel’s parents, Bruce and Denise started the Daniel Morcombe Foundation to give back to the community who had supported them from the day that Daniel went missing. Today, the Daniel Morcombe Foundation is one of the most well known not for profit child safety organisations in Australia. Daniel’s story changed child safety in Australia and the determination and dedication of his parents has inspired the entire nation.

The red t-shirt Daniel was wearing the day he went missing has become a symbol of child safety awareness. Every year, thousands of people dress up in red for an annual National Day of Action for Child Safety, held on the last Friday in October: Day for Daniel ❤️

Today really pulls at our heart strings having 3 young children and being parents.

The Morcombe Family have show such amazing strength and will power to start and continue with the
"To educate children and young people about how to stay safe in physical and online environments and to support young victims of crime"

We will be donating $300 on behalf of our 3 kids.
