Tokyo Metro to begin one-person operation on the entire Ginza Line from the 27th

Tokyo Metro will start driver-only (one-person) operation across the whole Ginza Line from the 27th.

Tokyo Metro’s Ginza Line will become the fifth line in the network to adopt one-person operation. Safety measures include installing monitors in the driver’s cab that allow the driver to check all train doors and passenger boarding/alighting conditions.

Anticipating future labour shortages, the move is intended to create a system that can maintain stable operations with fewer staff.

I’m not sure if I want to use railway theme toilet paper 🤔🤔

The long-established daily goods store Tokitomo Shoten has developed a special “Chōshi Electric Railway Printed Toilet Paper”, and it is now available at Inubō Station (Inubō Station Shop)!

This product features a gentle texture made using spring water from Mt Fuji.

The toilet paper itself is also printed with fun designs, making it something that will bring a smile to your face every time you use it.
