Planning a Rottnest Island getaway next autumn?

Stay Rottnest accommodation for April 2027 opens at 8:30 am AWST this Wednesday, 5 August 2026.

The virtual waiting room opens from 6:00 am. Everyone who joins before 8:30 am is randomly allocated a queue position, so there is no advantage to logging in at 6:00 am instead of closer to the opening time.

📅 Dates expected to be especially busy

The WA school holidays run from 10 to 25 April 2027, followed by the ANZAC Day public holiday on Monday, 26 April.

During the school holiday period, many properties will also use fixed booking blocks of around four to seven nights. The Campground, Kingstown Dormitories, Hostel Family Rooms and Governor Circle may have a minimum three-night stay.

Make sure you prepare:

✓ Your preferred dates
✓ A few backup date options
✓ Several preferred accommodation areas
✓ Your required bedrooms and beds
✓ Your payment details

April is a brilliant time to visit Wadjemup, with milder weather for cycling and walking, while many days are still warm enough to enjoy the beaches and bays.

There is also currently a 14-day cooling-off period for new bookings, provided you cancel within 14 days and there are still more than 30 days before arrival.

Already searching for January, February or March 2027? These months are already extremely busy, but cancellations do appear.
