Day 1&2 Indian Pacific Railway Journey & Perth Surrounds.

Tuesday; We picked up our excited passengers from their door and made our way to Launceston Airport for our flight to Perth WA via Adelaide. We safely arrived at Perth where Saraa-Jai (Bobbi-Jo’s sister) also Tour Director trainee who had all our cases lined up ready for us to collect our luggage and make our way to our coach to be transferred to our hotel.

Wednesday we started with a hearty breakfast lots of options to pick from at the breakfast buffet. Our Coach Captain Chris took us for a leisurely drive around Perth and delivered interesting commentary about points of interest on our way to the Perth Bell Tower. Here we participated in a guided tour around the tower/museum and had a go at bell chiming. It was a lot of fun, and hard work! Next we made our way to the picturesque Kings Park and Botanical Gardens where we relaxed, had some lunch and took in the stunning views of Perth and the Swan River. The afternoon was spent at the Perth Mint where we saw the largest gold coin in the world weighing 1 tonne, we discovered what our weight was worth in gold and saw a live pouring of a gold brick. We enjoyed an afternoon siesta…. Although some of us hit the shops. Met up for a buffet dinner and finished with an early night.
