Mother and son guests Nikita and Billy chose to stay at Sunbird because mum could relax poolside while son spend endless hours fishing from our pontoon.

Before I cut the overhanging branches of pandanus, I was witness to juvenile mangrove jacks clearing Parrearra Lake to grab small skinks and insects from low hanging foliage.

Many guests have caught many different species of fish from the pontoon that has organic fish attracting devices underneath it since January 2004.

Nobody has caught a MANGROVE JACK, so this post salutes and congratulates Billy the KING FISHER.

When the carport is cluttered with stuff that can’t be stored in the garage or attic, and the to do list grows longer while you catch up with friends staying in the house sitter’s room and sleeping in a closet upstairs……a review like this tells me that I must be doing some things right.

I hope to see Charly again, before his Aussie travels are done.

Very few guests come from Florida, USA. At 80, Charly travels solo and uses public transport to get around.

At seventy, I hope to be as active and adventurous as Charly a decade from now.

Irene Krajewska will be doing a road trip in Tasmania next year.

I have made suggestions about must visit destinations but I have not made mention that 45 native animals are killed on the roads in Tasmania every hour!
