Today I visited the beautiful Bolobek Garden Fair | Macedon Ranges in Macedon. The vibe was relaxed, the people were friendly and the gardens were stunning.

The photos I took did not do the place justice. I met up with Phoebe whose mag BILLY | A new Macedon Ranges magazine I have a regular column in. (Be sure to check it out).

And though I’m not a great gardener (yet!) I appreciated browsing the plant stalls, and bought two gorgeous books, The Productive Garden Companion by NATASHA MORGAN and The Medicinal Garden by Caroline Parker - The Medicinal Garden 🌱 🌺 🌳

The Fair is very family friendly with live music, a petting farm, face painting and more.

I’ve been trying to do a special dinner with each of my three kids for some quality time this year. (Was aiming for each term but maybe that was too ambitious!).

This one loves pizza and we had heard great things about Slice Of Perfection - 🍕 in Woodend. With no sport in the school holidays, it was perfect timing for a Friday night dinner out. The weather was awesome too.

The outside area had music and great vibes, and the pizza did not disappoint. Beautiful wood fired pizza with fresh ingredients and a great crunchy crust (I detest a soggy pizza!). We also loved that it was square too.

Conversation ensued about different pizza shapes, cheese to pizza ratio etc 😆 We’ll be back for a pizza and beverage on another warm night with the whole family for sure.

After our pizza we strolled down to Holgate Brewhouse for a dessert which was also way too yummy. Was full as a goog.

Change is in the air!

I started these catch ups when I needed support for my business ventures and it delivered in spades!

From a small table of four a couple of years ago to now fifteen to twenty locals showing up for each other, I am so grateful to this group of incredible people for their friendship, wisdom and support.

With my roles at MRCE and the Gazette, my own career is evolving and my biz has downsized to my creative writing classes and own small writing projects.

My need, and time to dedicate to these event, is not so great anymore so I’m passing the baton on to two amazing women in business, Katrina at Stress Free Super Mum and Rachael at Windmill Marketing & Events 🙌🏼

These ladies are regulars at our catch ups and experts in their fields. I know you’ll all be in good hands and that Katrina and Rachael will be strong leaders, as they put their own stamp on this event.

I will still attend when I can and look forward to seeing you all this coming Friday for the August catch up.
