Wednesday Dinner Night. A quieter one this week but as always enjoyable. Lion Helen did a short informative chat about Australian Lions Mobility Children Foundation. The Marysville Club has support 12 Children over the years. Please have a look at the link to find out more about this amazing work and/or make a donation.

Marysville Lions celebrated their Changeover Dinner last Friday. The night started with the sad news of the sudden death of Trevor Paul that morning. He is going to be sadly missed by the Club. His always huge smile, love of doing the Tail Twister and always in for a good joke. Trevor was rarely unavailable to help with jobs to be done. After a few moments of silence in remembrance. We began our meeting.
Dinner at Pepper’s was much appreciated.
A number of awards were presented.

Andrew Embling OAM - presented the Melvin Jones Award for his contribution with Alexandra Events, Murrindindi Health Van, Truck and Ute Show and assistance with Need for Feed.

Norman Fiske- was presented with the Progressive Melvin Jones Award. For his work with Need for Feed.

Neil Guscott- was presented with the Progressive Melvin Jones Award. For his work within the club.

Past District Governor Bob Cooper conducted the handover to the Executive Committee for 26/27

Another great Dinner meeting.

Well who would have thought that members of Lions could put on such a yummy dinner meeting to cater for them selves. Well they did tonight for our June Dinner meeting.
Marysville & District Lions Club had another fun and interesting night.

Tonight we heard from Alan Boyle from Marysville Film Society. Two years ago Alan did a presentation to us outlining a proposal for an Audio Visual system that embodied a large screen and improved sound system at the Marysville Community Centre in the Lake View Room.
Here he is now proudly announcing the success of gaining funding from Tiny Towns Grant from Regional Development Victoria. With the support of Marysville Film Society, TAG, Lions and other community members we will now be seeing a 2m x 3m dropdown electric screen. Ceiling mounted laser based 4K projector. Sound system with 12 high quality speakers. Blackout blinds on all windows and doors. Again putting Marysville with an outstanding facility for many different variety of functions. Congratulations Alan on your dedication for this project.
Marysville and District proudly presented Alan (MGS) a $5000 cheque at assist with this project.

May Dinner night was held at Kepples Cafe tonight. A number of guests warmly welcomed. Ken Adams was presented with 20 year service certificate.
Our guest speaker Sue Boyle a local for 30 years in the Marysville district is very involved in many community activities. Tonight Sue gave a very interesting talk on Marysville Film Society and Film Societies in general with a long history. The Society show 10 films a year of varying types. Sue then thanked who assist in making the society successful
